Hi all,
As per the post, could do with a little treat/pick me up! ;-)

Also, any tips on plumping lips a little...without fillers!

Thanks

Lancome Definicils mascara

I stopped using it (seduced by other brands claims) and went back to it 2 weeks ago
I absolutely love it and can't believe I ever stopped using it

As for the lips - I'm seriously thinking about lip fillers ......

Mua Cupcake blusher for £1 at the minute! Won't leave the house without some on - makes me look glowy less scary first thing!

My makeup must-have is Benetint, which I use to give my lips a lovely rosy colour (I can't stand the feel of lipstick). It's the best lip tint I have tried, and good on the cheeks too. I buy the little £5 sample bottles that are available in big branches of boots, so I can take one with me on-the-go.

Re: lip plumping, I have just started using the Candylipz plumper. It's a bit pricey, but very good. If you go slowly, you can control how big your lips get - going for a subtle look or massive trout pout as the mood suits! The plumping effect lasts several hours and I think the increased blood flow in the area is improving the appearance of my smoker's lines on a day-to-day basis. Only drawback is the bruising you get when you start. For the first week you look like you have a Ribena moustache.

Laura geller balance and brighten, so much easier than liquid foundations and you don't have to be so exact with which shade you get

Clinique high impact mascara is a firm favourite. It's taken me years to find the right mascara for me and I'm not going back!

For lips, can I can never recommend enough the YSL teint in oil tubes. Fabulously moisturising and perfect for winter, give just the right hint of colour.

Chanel coco rouge lipsticks. I have a worrying number given the price, but for many reasons I feel they're worth it. The formulation is fab, feels great, doesn't dry my lips out, good longevity, looks good on me, I love the packaging, think it looks and feels very high quality, I love the smell, and the ritual of buying one to treat myself, being fawned over by the SA/MUA, taking it home in a little Chanel bag etc. it all brings me a massive amount of joy, as does seeing them lined up in my makeup storage. So for the treat/pick me up aspect, I can't beat a Chanel lipstick.

Revlon Photoready primer and Colorstay foundation. Perfect finish and shade for my very pale skin, and doesn't budge all day. Have had soooo many compliments since I started using it.

Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I was a huge fan of They're Real mascara, but when Benefit brought this out I was an instant convert. It really does roll your lashes and it doesn't smudge at all.

I also rate their Porefessional primer. My make up looks so much better when I use this. Others I have tried don't even come close.

It isn't make up but I cannot live without my Real Techniques make up brushes, with these bad boys even cheapy make up can look good!

Seconding Laura Geller Balance and Brighten Foundation. I'm really happy with it and am on my 4th compact. I must like it as I don't think I've ever repeat purchased a foundation 4 times before.

Also agree with Clinique High Impact Mascara. Have used it for years and for me the only other mascara to match it is the Dior Backstage one.

I have tried a whole range of products from £1.99 Natural Collection cheapy mascaras to mega-spendy don't even want to think about how much it was foundation but these two, for me are the ones I love the most.

Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara

Becca Under Eye Corrector

L'Oreal Cushion foundation

Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter in 06

the Balm Instain blush in Houndstooth

I could easily survive if I could only use those products for the rest of my life.

At the moment, it's Pixi H20 skin tint. Finally, something that evens out my skin tone but stays invisible.

Phoenix, I've been fancying a Chanel lipstick for some time now and you may have convinced me to take the plunge with that post Smile

I really like the Benefit Roller ball mascara too but I have They're real to finish up first. I'm currently on my second Benefit They're real lash primer, it's better than the mascara itself!!!
