Bare minerals and/or Lily Lolo

I went to a Bare Minerals counter today and the woman there matched me to Fairly Light. I'm not sure if it might be just slightly too yellowy on me. She wanted me to part with £30+ on the starter pack but I declined, to see how this initial application wears. Experience has taught me what looks good in the shop doesn't in daylight 4 hours later!

I have mild rosacea and like the idea of trying mineral powders. I was thinking if getting some samples from Lily Lolo. If I've been matched to BM Fairly Light, does anyone have any colour suggestions for LL?

Also, the BM is very slightly caking around the nonexistent faint lines near my dimples. Is this typical or is it on too thick at that part?

I wish BM did sample pots like LL, so much easier to pick if you can try a couple of times.

I've used both and prefer BM. If you are near a tk Maxx check in there as my local had loads in yesterday & it was cheap!

Thanks Squiz. I've read some good things about both and couldn't decide if BM is worth the extra. Asked someone for their opinion on colour and they said it looks okay, perhaps I'm just being overly picky about the exactness of the match.

If you email Lily Lolo ans tell them your BM colour they will suggest a shade.

I prefer LilyLolo, looks much more natural and less powdery than BM.

Lily Lolo made my rosacea flare right up.

Thanks Dame, never thought to ask them!

Ghetto, have you tried bare minerals?

I prefer Laura Mercier mineral powder to both. Immensely flattering.

I have tried Bare Minerals. I wore it without a problem for several years then it suddenly made my rosacea worse. I switched to a tinted moisturiser by Dusty Girls who make all natural makeup.

I use fairly light in Bare Minerals and Warm peach in Lily Lolo. Both work for me. Just keep in mind that lily Lolo gives lighter coverage.
