I just came on to mumsnet to look for an answer to the same question!

I'm a wide 6, so very conscious of not getting anything that looks like a welly boot. Sainsburys had some in which looked ok but were too tight on my foot. They were only £35 and might be ok on you?

Watching thread with interest..

I got these wide fit ones from Dune - they're a bit stiff and will take some breaking in, but are so nice and look great with jeans and dresses.

Those Faith ones are nice. Have you ordered them?

I looked at those Dune ones, they look great but I wondered if they'd be uncomfortable, the sole looked very stiff.

I've ended up ordering these

Once they arrive I will let you know if they are any good!

I've also ordered these. www.fatface.com/boots/newham-chelsea-boots/invt/917174#ff_colour=Black

Hopefully it will be an easy choice and I won't want to keep both pairs!

I love those fat face ones. I ordered some from la redoute and they are awful. Can't get my feet in and once in they feel like they have cardboard inserts in them! I want some nice soft black leather with a Cuban height heel. But, I'm broke. Sad innit? Grin

Check Amazon. I found a pair of beautiful, simple Aldo boots for £22, they are fab! All sorts of overstock gets shunted there, it's worth a look. (Likewise eBay.)

Fatface haven't arrived yet.
Newlook ones are going back. They are quite comfy but more welly boot looking than I wanted. I was in town quickly today and popped into that cheap shoe shop deichmann and ended up getting a pair for £34.99 they are incredibly comfortable!
I've tried to take photos, New look boot is left foot , cheap shop on right

These are the side views...i think I actually prefer Chelsea boots without zips. It shouldn't be this hard!

The fat face ones looked weird on me.

Mine are Uggs Joey, bought as a spur of the moment thing when it was half price on the JL sale. I find them very comfortable but they come up quite narrow, and I think a bit on the small side too. (They need a polish, mind Blush)

Oops, photos didn't attach. Mine are brown but they have it in black too.

I am debating between www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,10/1387900078 and www.dunelondon.com/mobile/quentin-leather-brogue-chelsea-boot-0092506690018484/
I haven't seen either in the flesh though. I have narrow feet so need something fairly fitted. I also like

But can't bring myself to spend that much

I saw someone wearing those Ugg Joey boots in Sainsbury's at the weekend, I was craning my head to read the logo on them as I really liked them. I always forget Ugg do other boots than sheepskin.

I'm taking the fat face ones back. They are comfy but not more comfy than the cheap deichmann ones I got. And I wanted just normal Matt leather these look a bit suede-y nubuck-y.

Russell & Bromley - I have the Cavendish and wore them all last winter and suspect I will do the same this winter.

Clarks, Carvela and Marks and Spencer all have good ones this year.

I have dark brown DM's and they are amazing. SO comfy and hard wearing.

From Amazon, £75.
