How to get Pinterest hair

Every second hairstyle on Pinterest is lovely messy curly hair. HOW do they get it?? Is it just a wand (which one?) I've tried to curl my hair with straighteners but just can't do it. Will find a picture of what I mean.

you need a big barrelled wand, hair spray and salt spray. do it in layers working from neck upwards. i usually think 3 layers / sections work well. spray each layer with hairspray.

take one inch thick sections and curl on the wand.

at the end spray ur hands with hairspray and run through your roots for a bit of volume. if the curls are quite tight spray a bit of salt spray on them then finish with hairspray.

i sometimes soften the curla by getting a soft bristles backcomb brush and gently backcoming the ends of each curl.
