Best choice in maternity nightwear pre and post baby for a gift please!!!

Hi lovely ladies, I've been looking at the choice of maternity nighties available in shops and online and it doesn't look great... Why are the nighties all in drab, neutral colours when women want to feel good about themselves when pregnant and post-birth? Also some of the shapes are so unflattering... Not much has changed since I was pregnant a few years ago. Where did you get your nighties from? My friend is pregnant and I thought I'd buy her a pretty nightie as a gift because all she has been getting are gifts for the baby and not much for her. She said she would love her hospital pictures taken while wearing something pretty but she hasn't seen anything she likes... Help!!!!
