Beauty Advent Calendars 2016

What beauty advent calendar(s) are people buying/coveting this year? There are sooooo many gorgeous ones appearing on blogs etc., I just can’t decide which one to poise myself to pounce on when they start to land. Currently torn between M and S and Clinique, though I usually go for Boots and/or Benefit. ….

Gah thanks for that ... I searched before I posted but that thread didn't come up Blush I would love the Charlotte Tilbury one but I like the door for every single day kind ... and I share with teen dd and don't think she'd let me have anything from a CT one ...Smile

I've preordered the Look Fantastic one. It looks like a good mixture of products, very similar to the M&S one. It's £70.

I bought the Aldi skincare one today (£20)
I'm a bit meh with BAC though, when I look at the sneaky peeks , there's a load I wouldn't use.

A couple of years ago, I bought the No7 one , there were two missing (including the P&P Daycream.) I waited till the end to open it up to see if it had slipped inside the plastic. It hadn't.
Most of the make-up was items I already had, nice for travelling but not Wow Factor.

I'll have to supplement it with a chocolate AC, obvs. Wink

Oh yes, got to have a chocolate one as well ... and last year we had a Yankee Candle one too.

Does anyone know any dates for when these are coming out?

I bought a tesco one half price one year and it was pretty rubbish but the ones mentioned in the link above look amazing

My faves would be jo Malone, liberty, and the Selfridges ones but can't justify the cost this year

They are starting to appear now mowglik. The M&S one is released on 10th Nov. It's £35 with £35 worth of purchases. The Rituals one is out now. It looks lovely and is £49.50. And you can preorder the Look Fantastic one now for dispatch mid/end Oct.

Thank you! The M&S one looks good and not too spendy, that and a nice chocolate one would be fab - the hotel chocolat one (£26) has 48 truffles for 2 which will be nice to share with DH once ds has gone to bed Grin

I've pre-ordered look fantastic, will try to get the m&s one & maybe the liberty one as I really want it! Maybe get the hotel cho c one too

I like a range of brands

I really want the liberty one, but can't justify it. So, I've pre ordered the look fantastic one as last years had rave reviews. I looked at the ASOS one, but it listed every single product, so not much of a surprise.

I got the you beauty one, and have opened all the doors already Grin

Hehe! Sylvester Grin. I was wondering about getting two and opening one through November and the other through December!

What is the YBB one like?

Report
SylvesterMcM0nkeyMcBean · 09/10/2016 21:26

It's a good mix of different brands, and has a bit of everything re face/hands/body etc. I like that it's eclectic and not beholden to one theme or brand name. Shame it's attached to the daily fail though Blush

This is the third year I've gone with the same calendar and I've never made it past October to open it, it's therefore a tradition now Grin

I got the l'occitaine one, £42 but had a code that got me some freebies with it. Can't wait! Looks great with all skincare/ shower gel etc. No make up. All very small bottles etc. nothing fullsize, but lovely.

Also like the look of the rituals and sanctuary ones.

I'm really torn between the Asos one or the rituals one. They both look great, I think I'm leaning towards the ritual one I love there stuff. The asos one seems more of a mystery though with different brands. Confused I just don't know.
