What hairdryer should I buy

I need a new hairdryer, looking for advice. I'm thinking about the dyson, but wanted to know if anyone can recommend any other brands or models. I also quite like the ghd air and parlux(?) I've had my current hairdryer for like... 7 years!

Morning. I just bought a parlux 385 and I am loving it so far. Mind you it was only delivered on Monday. It's really lightweight, dries my long long hair pretty quickly and left it looking smooth and lovely. Would definitely recommend. Way cheaper than a Dyson. I bought mine on € so not sure what the £ price is.

I've been looking into that one. Have you heard anything about the ghd air? So many hairdryers!!!

Well, I have taken the plunge and went for the parlux advance light hairdryer. Got it on Amazon prime so should be here in a couple of days. From what I could find out, the parlux 365 was keeping up with the dyson, so I'm hoping this new model will be on par Grin .......... and it's pink! With a free brush

I got a Parlux after reading about it on here - its great. Although I really want a Dyson one now - just because they seem so innovative. There I
s no way I could afford one though

I really want the dyson as well! The parlux seems to be a tried and tested brand by hairdressers

Lots of hairdressers use parlux all right. If only I could blowdry it as good as my guy. Mine is pink too. Hope you are really happy with it.

I bought a Parlux about a year ago and wish I'd got it ages ago. My hair feels bouncier and looks better since getting it.

I am struggling between splashing on a Dyson and getting a Parlux too. The newest model of Parlux, the Advance Light would appear to be the best and is still miles cheaper than a Dyson but I am really put off by some of the reviews on Amazon. Lots of people seem to have had problems with them either blowing up/burning out, being heavier than the advertised spec or coming with the wrong plug for the U.K. The plug thing seems to be a bit of a lottery as far as I can tell.

I don't know what to do now. I was all ready to order one. Confused

Also, one of the reviews for an older model mentioned a cold shot button but I can't find any mention of it on the specs for the better models. Gipsy can you tell me if yours has one please?

I brought Parlux as that's what my hairdresser uses and after years of dying my hair it can look dull and dry, but not with this hairdryer. I love it!

Which model?

I bought a parlux after loads of recommendations on here a year ago. I hate it. It doesn't dry my hair fast, isn't better than any of the others and in my opinion was a waste of money!!!

Right! so just use the hairdryer. Freshly washed hair dripping wet at first I had started to part and blow dry one side and then couldn't be bothered. So I just blasted my hair and its perfectly. The dryer itself is SO light

Posted too soon. My hair even feels different, and it has actual volume. My hair was bone dry and about 5 minutes (fair dos my hair is a short bob but it's incredibly thick and takes ages to dry)

So, in conclusion - I love it. Highly worth it. Maybe one day I'll get the dyson but for now, I am more than happy with the parlux

I've had my Parlux for about 5 years I think , and it's brilliant I only have the 325 ,I might upgrade when it dies!

Dh had just told me there's a clip on YouTube where engineers take apart the Dyson hair drier to see if it's worth the money. Apparently it's not. He said he'll email me it , when he died I'll post a link.

I bought the Parlux 385 light after reading about it on here. I have very very thick hair. I can say that it dries my hair in 1/3 of the time as my old cheap Babyliss, and I also don't have to straighten my hair 3 seconds after - it doesn't leave it looking all puffed out. Tbh I was very dubious about buying one, I actually found one on Amazon for £40 and wasn't sure the price was real, it was, but it was a european model, so I just got an adapter plug. It was a fab price for it.

Mrs link please?

Yes dame It took a week to arrive so I wondered if it was being sent from abroad, but it arrived with a UK postage label, and the company was based in the UK. Maybe it was stock from an older model they were clearing out? it wasn't direct from Amazon. It was only a couple of weeks ago.
