Boots number 7 soft damson blush alternative

Boots have discontinued this colour after I've used it for years, and I've really struggled to find anything similar. It was quite a toned down, cool dark pinky blush. I've had another disastrous purchase tonight trying to find an alternative, please can anyone suggest an alternative? My budget is £10 max, thank you.

Angry I loved that one too and wondered why I couldn't find it. Their current range is far too bold/bright for me.

I bought a rimmel one instead, which is OK, but not as good as soft damson. When I get home i'll let you know what it is.

Oh no... Me too... Why do they do this? Watching.... There is a thread about make up in your 40s which might have some tips... Mainly about low key make up.

Rimmel 'Live Pink'. I've just compared it to the final few dregs of 'Soft Damson' that i've kept for comparison. It's an OK alternative, but more pink and brighter.

Sad

I've got two half pots of this left and will be watching this thread to see what is recommended. There is a damson shade in the No. 7 new range - is this not similar?

20 odd years ago I used to use a Rimmel blusher that was made up of pink blusher dots, bronzer dots and highlighter dots that blended together to make a really flattering colour. They discontinued that too. It's a conspiracy to make me look pasty faced.

No sadly the new 'damson' is much brighter than the old soft damson. I look like aunt Sally with the apricot shade I've got, u think it would be more 'neutral' than the new bright shades. Why do they have to change things, grrrrr

That's my go to blusher colour as well.

I also use Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush no 14 in soft pink.

I've been shopping in a large city centre. I only looked at powder blush as I am not a fan of cream blush myself, and the only one for sale I could find which looks remotely similar is Superdrug natural blush 'electric pink'.its not the same but more of a dusty pink like soft damson, however It is brighter though.

Great to see I am not alone! The no7 one I got instead is sooo pink I look like a doll, or as if I let my 3 yo dd loose to choose. It's awful.

Currently going for the natural (pasty) look but back to work soon so will have to find something.

Mac Pinch O'peach any good? Think it could be a bit brighter but I'm cool toned and very pale and it suits me. Doesn't look as bright as these pics in real life. It's the swatch on the far right.

I think Mac blushes will have something that matches. They have a lot of shades and they're very soft when on.

Or Bobbi Brown? They do really natural 'your face but better' type shades.

The Mac one looks a bit bright sorry Enid. I've really looked at loads today with only 1 remotely similar. Maybe we should all tweet boots and ask for it to be reinstated!

Ah sorry Fizzer. I do quite like a brightish blush as I have no colour in my face. A teeny tiny bit does wonders for me.

I actually think if you all emailed Boots head office or whoever's in charge of the No7 bit, it could have a bit of an impact. Worth a try.

Just had a look in my "stuff I don't use but don't want to throw away yet" basket and found one by L'oreal that's quite pale and a pale dusky pink with a bit of coral on it. The Mac pink o peach is next to it for comparison. Unfortunately there's no name on it! Which is no help but maybe you could have a look at L'oreal? (iPhone photo colour is very accurate unfortunately. They're both paler and a bit pinker in real life.)

Bourjois could be good too. They do a lot of dusky pinks. Can be a bit shimmery/sparkly though.
