I've just ordered these ankle boots

And want to make sure I'm not committing a style faux pas. I like them because of the colour, the heel height and the fact that they don't come too far up the leg. Oh and the price is pretty good too. Thoughts?

I posted some black ones last year and was told they were Mum boots so I just want to make sure I'm not straying into that territory this Autumn...

I really don't like them. I find them too clunky and not particularly stylish. Each to their own, however.

Sorry they look awful

RainbowDashstolemyidentity Thu 22-Sep-16 14:49:34

I like them, think they'd look good with skinny jeans. I'd wear them :-)

Buzzardbird Thu 22-Sep-16 14:50:59

I like them, I bought a similar pair yesterday. You can always return them if you hate them when they arrive.

these, worried now

melibu84 Thu 22-Sep-16 14:51:30

They are ok, but, under, "we think you'll love", I saw these ones, which i think are nicer

I like them too.

Really dislike Malibu's pair.

Buzzardbird Thu 22-Sep-16 14:53:41

They are not leather though melibu maybe was after leather?

Like =3, dislike =2, OK=1. Hmm. Oh well they arrive tomorrow so I guess I'll wait and see.

See I think the ones melibu linked are less stylish than mine, but heck, what do I know? confused

melibu84 Thu 22-Sep-16 15:36:36

Buzzardbird No one mentioned a material, I was just giving a suggestion. The OP asked for thoughts, and that was mine. Jeez.

burnishedsilver Thu 22-Sep-16 15:36:36

I like them.
If they were black I'd wear them (I never wear brown, so nothing against the boots).

Buzzardbird Thu 22-Sep-16 15:37:43

I only ever wore black and then decided that black looks dodgy with denim jeans. Tan looks so much better. I have no idea why.

Buzzardbird Thu 22-Sep-16 15:40:10

Think you took that the wrong way melibu, I wasn't slating your taste, I was pointing out (in a nice way) that the OP might have deliberately chosen leather as they are more practical. I have non-leather boots also but they are only good for dry nights out rather than school run in the rain iyswim? smile

melibu84 Thu 22-Sep-16 15:47:14

Buzzardbird oops, apologies for my oversensitivity! smile

LuckySantangelo1 Thu 22-Sep-16 15:49:25

I like them. Chunky footwear is very fashionable at the moment. I'd wear them with black tights and a mini skirt.

Buzzardbird Thu 22-Sep-16 15:49:41

It's ok, stroppy mare. grin

Cocolepew Thu 22-Sep-16 15:50:02

If you like , them that's all that matters confused
Everyone has different tastes.

cheeseandmarmite15 Thu 22-Sep-16 16:13:35

Sorry but I don't like th op's ones. They are a mix of casual and smart and the heel doesn't look right.

I prefer the ones Melibu linked to.

Just had a quick look on TK Maxx and only liked the Prada Chelsea boots, a couple of Rockport and Aldo ones.

I like the ones in the OP.

If you like them, can afford them and they suit your style/needs buy them. It really doesn't matter what we think. You'll get a split between love, hate and completely indifferent on here, so it will be meaningless anyway.

Buy the damn boots if you like them! grin

SunsetBeetch Thu 22-Sep-16 20:39:13

I like them, OP smile

FranklyMeDeer Thu 22-Sep-16 20:41:49

I like the upper but not the heel, it looks a bit, I dunno, glued on maybe? Hard to tell until you try them on though.

FranklyMeDeer Thu 22-Sep-16 20:43:42

And what Remus said about bollocks to what we think, most of MN probably hates my boots grin

Iamabuyingbootsaddict Thu 22-Sep-16 21:26:49

I love a brown boot, looks great with jeans especially. I also love wearing mine with a skirt and opaques, these would probably look good like that too. If you like them, that's what matters. Enjoy them OP.

DavidWainwrightsFeet Thu 22-Sep-16 21:30:34

I like them but then I'm a sucker for that sort of laminated heel.
