I'm looking to find some good quality but fairly cheap nursing vests. Planning to breastfeed and have bought some nice cosy winter cardies and now need some boob accessible vests to go underneath!

Any recommendations?

H&M! Good luck

If second H&M. Pick the skinny strap ones if you can as they are easier to use. The wrap style take some practice. I also liked boob tube type tops. Less to do if you're wearing a bra too.

Have you heard of breastvest?
I used them under normal tops and were ideal

I found them all cut for maternity as well so huge and saggy.

If you layer a normal vest top under a tshirt or jumper you can lift one up and one down. Much more versatile.

I really wouldn't bother with 'nursing vests' ie the ones which have the unclippable straps. When you have both a nursing bra and vest to unclip it is not only a faff and potentially confusing to unclip and reclip but it looks really bulky when you have two lots under there.

Instead by the stretchy cotton rich vests from marks and Spencer which are usually about £5 and are often on offer. You can buy them in a squillion colours. They give a much smoother line and you literally just pull them down under your breast at the side you're feeding on. They have plenty of give and wash like a dream. Buy a size or two up from pre-baby size and they'll be grand.

Thank you so much for all the tips!

Totally agree with Mrs N. Most nursing vests have 'support' built in like they are supposed to be worn without a bra. I've found them to be too bulky when worn with. My breastfeeding breasts NEED a bra! A stretchy strappy vest is much better.
