Hope everyone finds this. Was very tired and couldn't link the previous thread properly.

One it sounds like you NEED new shoes Smile

I have my eye out for a frivolous pair, something bright or patterned. I still regret not just buying a pair of Etro espadrilles last Christmas. I kept hoping they would be reduced by more than 40â„… and then they sold out.

Thanks for new thread Lib
Bernice I used some code that was on my M&S Sparks thingy, thank you.

Shop I was looking at the flat Dune rockstuds onlline & couldn't make my mind up, you've doen it for me plus I don't really need them!

Soyo It was my first time at the last meet up & I had a great time. all Voguettes were so welcoming. I left early because i was worried about getting home, next time I'll just uber it! I'm not sure that you'll take my crown as the most "senior" Voguette though, I'm no spring chicken.

Dream I do have quite skinny feet........ I didn't need them either. Don't quite know what's come over me - I've become all sensible. Left the Zara coat until next month, left the Dune shoes, left the Whistles shirt and dress...... oh, wait, I haven't got a credit card anymore! Grin

Meant to say on last thread would be great to meet everyone, Vegas, happy and soyyo. Always fun to have new people there and we have all experienced those first time nerves.

Morning Voguettes,

Thanks lib, new shoes season indeed. Have an urge to buy stationery.

Numbers for 12th Nov are looking healthy so far, good stuff. Will be great to meet some more newbies.

Happy can we have pics and live vicariously through you? Smile

So I've fallen in love...with this dress, something really louche and sexy about it. Have a big black tie event but really don't want a structured boned bodice floor length gown will never wear again (I know purists say black tie = floor length but am ignoring). Even though by rights I hate both velvet and asymmetric hems this just speaks to me, would style with strappy black sandals and black clutch. Only problem is seems to be sold out everywhere boo hoo.

Wow, I miss a couple of days and you're on a new thread Shock. Been busy with house stuff, birthday party planning and pta stuff so nothing particularly exciting.

mara that's lovely, love a bit of velvet.

I must be the only one who can't make the 12th. Boo hoo.

In my bid to wear more 'best' stuff, I wore a silk tank to work yesterday (last years uniqlo). When I went to the loo at work I realised that my deodrant had totally streaked across the top. Lesson learnt for next time to apply deodrant afterwards!

I'm getting a bit bored of summer clothes now and wanting to wear some autumn stuff.

I'm always buying shoes Blush

I'm really pleased with what I've got recently - my red TS ballet flats, these flannel skate shoes and Eley Kishimoto Vans which I found in TK Maxx clearance after having coveted them for a while.

Shop I need to retire my credit card too but not yet

Mara I think the colour of the dress would look great on you but I think the style might be enlarging - I note that there isn't a head on view of the model wearing it.

Everyone where are you off to?

QueenC well done for continuing not to save for best.

I think it's a Marmite dress mara. I don't like it at all. Where you see louche I see lounge wear dressing gown. Sorry for being harsh but I remember you saying you need to look amazing at this event and I don't think that dress will do you justice. When I have time later I am going online dress hunting for you Smile

In homage to wearing best stuff everyday, OOTD is Pistols(first time wearing them) Dark skinnies, Cos black top (bought last year & first time wearing) and khaki utility jacket. I felt good in my outfit. Having worn completely flat shoes for over a year sine metatarsal break, the pistols are slightly out of my comfort zone but so worth the effort :)

Not sure about that dress Mara In my opinion it would be perfect for posh party but not for black tie event.

well done on all that Sensibleness Shop I should put my card away for a bit too but would be pointless as I know all the numbers off by heart!!!!!

Great shoe buysBernice especially like the grey M&S ones, luckily they're sold out in my size.

Thanks for honesty about the dress guys, that's what I love about MNV. Appreciate the comments re potentially unflattering/not special enough. lib yes please to help when you're free.

Fab TK find bernice haven't been there for ages.

Have lost over half a stone so far with slimming world, just over 1 stone to go to my target but want to get there before investing in what I really need for a/w which is jeans/trousers. Would also love an apc denim skirt and trench which could get sooner. Will also need job interview outfit, eek.

QueenC love your posts about not keeping stuff for 'best' and fully concur. Had missed that you couldn't make the mu Sad

Having a lovely afternoon on my own pottering around the Kings Rd in the rain. Stocked up on scent diffusers, soap and pjs for ds at White Co with 20% off and think will have a look at Monica Vinader. Going for Thai massage later, lovely start to the weekend Smile.

Thanks Lib for setting up the new thread.

It'll be great to see everyone again and meet some new faces. I'll do another name roundup at some point so we can see who's coming on this thread.

Nice skater shoes Bernice - and vans, always a bargain in TK.

I like the dress Mara but not sure if it's black tie enough - even if you don't wear long. Looking forward to seeing what Lib finds later.

Everyone have a lovely time in Cornwall - hope the weather is kind to you.

Shame about the marks on your top Queen but they should come out.

Well done on the spending restraint Shop.

Dh has asked that I be restrained following an expensive summer which is a bugger as I'm headed into London on Monday Sad. I wouldn't mind but I've not bought much for ages and there's loads I've got my eye on now. completely forgets wardrobes packed full of clothes

Brand new thread, thank you liberty

On MU meet 12/11 I will put in my outlook and will confirm closer to the date, it just depends on my work travel schedule if they pack it full (which I am fearing "they" will due to a global reorg and my new role kicking off from Oct 1st) then I will pass, as I get exhausted if I have been ooo all week and need the weekend to recover. Here is hoping I will finally get to meet you all though! and try not to worry about first date nerves Thank you for the lovely encouragement all!

Dream I will say no more than I have passed the magic 50th birthday barrier, if we meet I will let you guys decide how old I really am Shock

mara stick with Slimworld, I did and the only thing that helped me shift the 1stone 12lb I did in 6 months (rather slowly but steady) plus less business travel, stress. I was so sceptical because I already had a pretty healthy diet to start with but it worked. Since reaching target in early June I have maintained easily, in fact if I don't add enough treats wineI carry on losing which although tempting I don't want to go overboard, I think at my age a bit of padding is good. If I wanted to weigh what I did in my twenties/thirties I would have to lose yet another stone but happy where I am (3 lb below target weight in June). Good Luck!

Have a great week in Cornwall Everyone

Fedup I am in London tomorrow, having hair cut for the first time with a curly hair specialist in Marble Arch, as local hairdressers make such a mess of it and need a proper restyle, I hope she is worth the money! Meeting with old boarding school friend at British Museum, and then popping into Uniglo under pretence of returning Ines shirt luckily my friend is not into fashion at all, otherwise it would be a disaster. Have spent enough already! I will however have a very quick glance around at Ines as I am after the Chester coat but I don't think it is in store yet...will report back.

Happy you seem to have rather fab taste, I would not worry for a moment, I don't think the ladies here are at all judgemental and I have re-joined this thread 3 times and disappear for ages yet they always welcome me back with open arms.

I have gone to my old comfort zone and ordered a couple more things from the Boden sale, I must stop doing it! Will not link till I receive and decide whether to keep or not. I must stop looking at sales!

Good weekend all! Wine

Mara so lovely to see you back on here. Glad the T is done and dusted. I liked the dress especially the colour.

Queen shame you can't make the MU Sad

Every have a lovely holiday

No fashion news here, wore the MN uniform today skinnies, Breton, blazer and Ash Virgins. I'm trying to be good again this a/w and if I buy anything it will be accessories - I need a new leopard belt, mine is bald Blush

Thanks for setting up a new thread Lib. Hope all the newbies can make it on the 12th, it would be lovely to see you all in RL.

Amazing bags Happy & great shoe purchases Bernice and Amber

I need to stop buying metallics, I think I'll end up looking like a space man if I'm not careful.

I ended up wearing a &OS black midi dress, sandals & a green jungle print jacket last night, as it was still boiling when I left. Worth the risk as it didn't rain until 5 this morning.

I'm out again tonight so think I will go for Bernice's suggestion of jumpsuit, probably with silver ghillies.

I like the dress Mara but would need to see it on, it could be a bit shapeless. It was interesting seeing KM on the Vogue doc with her shirt clipped, a good reminder that what we can see on models isn't how the clothes in fact fit. A friend worked on photo shoots for Boden & said all their clothes were pegged.

I picked up a couple of basics at H&M this week, which I'm wearing today: a button up denim skirt, and a top which I have just spent far too much time trawling through their website looking for - anyone else do this?

Good luck with your shopping/ hair cut Soyyo and enjoy Cornwall everyone.

Has anyone got a bomber jacket? I like this red one I saw in Zara. but not sure I'd wear it that much - not warm or waterproof.
