I'm going for an eveing out. A proper one. After years of nothing but Nandos and cineworld. With real adults.

I have nothing to wear.
I do NOT have a big budget but I would like something a bit more grown up than the leggings and smocky shit I usually get.

I'm 5ft5. Size 16. Mummy tummy <---big one. Will get span-x.
I don't like high necklines.

Any ideas please?

oooh what about this??

YoureaFlutteringCunt Thu 15-Sep-16 20:33:58

or maybe this?

PaperdollCartoon Thu 15-Sep-16 20:41:47

That second one is lovely Cunt wink
I say keep it simple, think about what makes you feel confident. What colours do you like?

GinAndOnIt Fri 16-Sep-16 10:29:06

I second number two, very nice!

AndNowItsSeven Fri 16-Sep-16 10:33:00

I disagree , both though dresses are really unflattering.
At at size 16 you don't need to shop in plus size.

Those

OP you have great taste. I loved dress1 until I saw no2, gorgeous and what a bargain!. Please get it.

YoureaFlutteringCunt Fri 16-Sep-16 10:39:15

I do because my tummy is huge. I'm a 16 in plus size (thats all i buy) and they size big so probably an 18 in highstreet.

YoureaFlutteringCunt Fri 16-Sep-16 10:39:57

I'm not very tall though. Am worried about the length of 2. I usually go knee length or ankle

AgentCooper Fri 16-Sep-16 10:48:54

Number 2 is lovely, OP! Enjoy your night out smile

P1nkP0ppy Fri 16-Sep-16 10:54:30

What bra would you wear with number 2?
I really like too!

YoureaFlutteringCunt Fri 16-Sep-16 10:55:24

Oh I didn't even notice that sad I definitely need a bra. Shit.

bomfunk Fri 16-Sep-16 11:02:26

Another vote for number 2! Love it.

misspym Fri 16-Sep-16 11:11:50

I like the second one but thunk the length might be unflattering. The model is 5'9 so at 4 inches shorter it could look like not quite maxi length on you.

What about this

Are you going to a pub, restaurant, night club, theatre or other? Trying to gauge level of glitzyness required! I'd say definitely not number 2, the length only just works on the model and she's tall also that back is a bra-nightmare!

AndNowItsSeven Fri 16-Sep-16 13:48:05

I see , the print is lovely in the second dress. It doesn't come in a 16 though.

NightWanderer Fri 16-Sep-16 14:00:58

Honestly, I think you are better going into a shop and trying stuff on. It's just so hard to tell how things will look on you in real life.

Have a great night out though!

polyhymnia Fri 16-Sep-16 15:49:59

Impossible to say really unless we know the sort of evening out planned - venue, etc

Freshprincess Fri 16-Sep-16 15:57:57

Where are you going? I love the print on the second one, but it's a bit wedding-y.

(My nights out are still Nandos and Cineworld related, so feel free to ignore)

KoalaDownUnder Fri 16-Sep-16 16:16:32

I think you can do better than either of those, tbh - even just on Asos.

YoureaFlutteringCunt Fri 16-Sep-16 16:36:19

Sorry. It's a posh restaurant and out for drinks. So not wedding party attire but a nice restaurant.

YoureaFlutteringCunt Fri 16-Sep-16 16:37:23

I'm not keen on 1 anymore having slept on it. And 2 is going to be too long for ne and the back....i don't have a bra that would work

Lucked Fri 16-Sep-16 16:40:09

I think the shape of 2 was good though, for me the colour was tricky. Will have a look.
