I am going to an awards dinner and ceremony next month, as I am a finalist for one of the awards. I have a very busy day that day, meaning I will have to store my outfit in a bag (not dress bag) for several hours, then I have around 30 minutes to change, tidy hair and makeup in a party-type venue toilets and then rush off to the ceremony.
I wanted to wear one of my dresses that I already have but it creases too much and I won't be able to iron it before changing.
So I have found a few dresses online. My criteria is that they are knee length, fitted, made of non-crease material, not white (I won an award last yea so there are loads of photos of me in my white dress), able to be worn to a wedding/ posh work event afterwards and around £20-£25. I am a size 8, 5 foot 2 and have brown hair and autumn colouring.
I have found dresses here www.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/burgundy-frill-trim-belted-bodycon-dress-_390543867
here -www.tkmaxx.com/dresses/mustard-v-neck-sheath-dress/invt/30166966
and here - www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/dresses-5699972/womens-dresses-5686813/asymmetric-pencil-dress-5821290?bi=0&ps=20
and I have a similar one to this - www.axparis.com/products/-Crochet-Bodycon-Midi-Dress.html?utm_source=shopstyle&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopstyle
It's not a black tie, and it's a fairly relaxed dress code, so as long as I look smart and not too work or clubby then I'm happy.
