So I have decided to stop using my fingers and get some proper brushes....

I really think it is time that I bite the bullet and stop using my fingers to put my make up on so would love some recommendations about where to get some make up brushes from. I'd rather invest in a few good brushes which will last than buy a whole set that won't.

So, who do you recommend and which brushes should I get to start my collection??

thank you!

I love Mac brushes. They last forever, wash well and never leave fluff or fibres on your face. I also like Real Techniques for the cheap ones - Boots do lots and they're often on special offer on Amazon, too.

Spectrum's brushes are the softest things I've ever felt, too, but I don't use them often because they're just too pretty.

Beauty blender OR ... I got copy cat oval brushes from eBay. They are amazing. £15 for the set, and my sister, who is also a make up aficionado, declared my make up to be the best it has ever been when I used them on Saturday.

The Real techniques 'beauty blender' sponge is amazing.

I like real techniques but I find Zoeva to be far better.

Real Techniques - I have the face brush, blusher brush and two of the eye shadow shading brushes. All fab. Their new mini sponges are brilliant for applying concealer around the eyes

I also have a few brushes from the PS. range at Primary - they only cost a few quid and do the job just fine
