Gone blonde and my make up is all wrong

I was blonde as a child, pale fair skin, blue eyes. Hair went mousy coloured as I got older and ended up going brunette. Decided to go back blonde - I love the colour but I look washed out and my eyes look tiny. My DH never notices anything and even he looked at me puzzled and asked if there was something wrong with my makeup.

What blusher colour, eye shadow etc can I use to help?? I usually use bronzer and brown eye shadows but these aren't working.

My biggest issue is that I usually have dark HD brows but they looked awful against blonde and so they are lighter and I think that has not helped things either.

I think you need less intense make up.
Very dark eyebrows won't suit blonde hair. You can still have them done, how about visiting a salon and getting them done professionally?
Try slightly silver based eyeshadow and brown mascara.
For cheeks try a pink or peach blusher, you probably need a less intense shade than you did before.
If you wear lipstick you can wear bright, bold colours but avoid dark colours.

Yes, you need to tone it right down or you get that Pat Butcher look I find. I've been mostly blonde the last few years but have also been auburn and dark. Blonde suits me but what I miss about dark hair is being able to trowel on loads of makeup! You can wear bright lipstick but not with loads of eyeliner and eyeshadow, same in reverse.

Bright lips and cheeks, minimal eyes. You will probably feel completely washed out because of your change in eyebrow, but you'll soon get used to seeing a different colouring around your face I would think.

Try the MUA blusher in Cupcake - it's only a £1 and is a lovely dewey pinky/peach which should suit

Coral lippy? - I use the bourjois crayon pens - the orange punch looks scary but is a subtle coral on. Proudly naked is your lips but better

Brown mascara

Do you have any blonde mates that you could borrow their eye shadow etc to try?

Are your clothes still suiting - what colours are you wearing?

I'm a natural blonde and quite pale. I do get my brows tinted but they use a brown shade so not as strong or dark as HD.

I use light brown or greyish eye shadows (urban decay naked palette), pink blusher and nude-pink lipstick. I find I need to be careful with bronzer as it can look a bit 'dirty '. A pale highlighter along the cheekbones for evening looks good - I use Bobbi brown brightening block

Lifetime blonde here, and I agree with pp - you need to pull the eye makeup right back and experiment with bringing colour in via your lippy.

You can emphasise your blue eyes with bronze colours on the eye, but nothing too dark. Unless I'm going for a full, dramatic smoky eye, I never wear eyeshadow. If I want to look 'done' and a bit polished, I use brow mascara (agree that your dark HD brows will need lightening), tight line my upper eyelids with a charcoal or aubergine pencil (I have green eyes and this emphasises them), curl my eyelashes (ESSENTIAL if you don't already do so) and apply mascara. Then a pinkish blush like Benetint, Posietint, or bobbi brown pot rouge in pale pink. Finally, red or pink lips.

I have really bad skin and do wear a lot of make up to compensate. Thanks for the tips, I'll have a play around and see if I can make it work. If not I'll have to go back to brunette!

I am currently blonde (normally mid brown). I agree with other posters that light hair requires light makeup. I use tinted moisturister, non-clumping mascara and small amount of pale pink blush.
