I know I know, diet and exercise, you can't beat it. But if I need a little extra help? I can't decide if I'm being totally gullible/lazy/stupid/inspired??!! All my clothes look hideous on me, I've really embraced the whole middle aged spread and I hate it. I don't over eat and I am active (clearly not enough). Honest thoughts please.

Watching with interest as I have been wondering the same thing recently! I just want a bit of extra help, I'm trying so hard but have been maintaining for ages and it's so unfair!

I'm such a sucker. I saw some review saying "belly fat buster"... could have been written for me! But I'd love some honest impartial opinions...

I'm a sucker too. I looked into buying some but decided against it after reading various reviews.

None of those miracle supplements work. Try low carbing instead.

They are a thermogenic, which means they slightly raise body temperature to increase metabolism, so scientifically this is fact. But they affect everyone very differently and the doses are only suggested. They can also make you feel quite 'wired' as most are highly caffeinated.
The best thing to take is a general multivitamin to make sure no deficiencies are preventing your metabolism working to its optimum level

If they really worked, they would be classified as a drug and regulated accordingly.

I thought you were discussing perfume ingredients - you could definitely use it to scent cosmetics Grin

The metabolism boost may burn off one extra smartie.

So it is all effectively bollocks.

I read that it's bollocks too.

Don't do this! They keep your details & take £80 X 2 every month! I had to go to my bank to get it sorted & im still fat!

Tried them once, bought from Holland and Barrett. Did absolutely nothing. Have had more success with slimming world.

My friend took them and it raised her blood pressure and made her heart gallop. She thought she was going to die!!

I was really tired at work and my friend gave me one... it was like Speed. Would not recommend. I was jittering around all over the place.

If you want to try them OP I have an unopened bottle of the Holland and Barrett ones I could send you.

I was curious so got them on a deal but the first bottle did nothing for me.

That's how I felt when I tried these chocolate banana ones. It was horrible. It did supress my appetite but I didn't like the horrible side effects that came with it. I wouldn't take any pill with a high caffeine content tbh unless for a short period of time.

Multivitamins didn't agree with me either. I was sick on them.

I stupidly bought some of these once via a fb link. Turns out it was a scam and I didn't realise till I saw it on watchdog and realised they had taken £250 out of my account. Total stressy nightmare trying to sort that out, was refunded straight away by my bank but was warned the company would keep trying to take the money and my bank would have to keep clawing it back. So be careful!

Also, they don't work Blush

Aloe Vera gel. Totally works. All the women on my fb feed tell me so.

Forza T5.
I lost 3 stone on these and was flying for months.
BUT I ended up with an eating disorder and in the end wasn't eating anything or sleeping.

EstellaHavisham · 31/08/2016 23:55

Don't get the raspberry ones. Normal T5s. Body builders use them but basically they are speed.

mayoketchupchocolate · 01/09/2016 10:45

Haha- basically a conclusive no then! I think i'll avoid these!

I wish Slimming World worked for me, you can eat such nice food, and it makes so much sense - but it just does nothing!

Regardless of how any "diet" is packaged slimming world or others, if there's no proper calorie deficit you won't loose weight. SW encourages no portion control. Try the plan but weigh out standard portions marked on a pack - 75g pasta etc & see the difference.

Thank you all for confirming what I already suspected. I'm hot enough so don't need anything that will make me hotter. What was the aloe Vera advice? Do you eat it?? (Sorry, I'm on my phone & can't find who posted that)
