Fringe + specs = ever ok?

Help me make a big decision!
I have collar length fine wavy hair which I blow straight but ends up wavy by the end of the day. It's all one length but I'm considering a blunt fringe to make me feel more edgy. I wear dark rimmed ray ban style glasses though. Can I have a fringe with glasses? Is it weird? Will it look too heavy on my face? I can't picture what I'll look like. Will it be too tricky to keep looking nice? Help!

Wow! U sound like u look like me! I have been thinking about a fringe too! I did have a long swept over one a few years ago but it got grew out as we moved away from my hairdresser and didn't trust anyone else! Try googling some pics! Most of the models have black specs like mine so it's tempting! Just need to drive to old salon!!

A blunt fringe and glasses looks deliberately weird, IYSWIM – edgy and geek-chic. Go for it!

I've had a fringe with glasses for the last 36 years.....

I hope it is okay as you have described my exact haircut (wavy long bob, fringe and glasses)

Me, my sister and a good friend all have blunt fringes and glasses. Geek chic.

So for those of you fringes with glasses, where does the fringe sit? On the glasses? Above? How far above??

Kirriemuir Tue 23-Aug-16 21:01:28

Mine sits just on my eyebrows. If it sits on your glasses you'll scratch them.

Brown tortishell plastic frames and fringe here.
Fringe needs to be above my eyebrows and cut wider than my glasses else it ends up tangled.

Fringe and glasses here too. I'm 49, and have never not had a fringe. I have a long face, and my forehead is best kept under wraps.... Hair length is between shoulders and bra-strap.

I keep my fringe on the short side, about eyebrow length, I guess. It's quite fine, so any longer and it gets greasy and stringy. Or flicks out over my glasses. I trim it myself every few weeks.

It can look gorgeous. Avoid the Velma look though!

Short, blunt vintage style fringe and strict librarian specs wearer and proud. Once the fringe grows past my eyebrows it wrecks the whole look in that my cowlick takes over and it looks wrong with my short square face.

I tried but looked like Velma
Red hair and bad gigs didn't help I fear....

flowers Polka - been there.

Avoid the Velma look though!
