Black or brown biker boots? Assistance required

So I can only buy one pair of boots for the next six months or so and I've decided that they will be biker boots, but I can't decide on the colour. I tend to wear dark denim or grey / charcoal coloured jeans with tops in blues / greys / whites / creams / occasionally pink.

My preference just to look at are brown biker boots, but I feel as though black would probably suit that range of colours better.

Is there a rule? Which would you choose?

Depends what shade of brown I think. Based on the colours you say black might be better but if you are very drawn to a particular shade of brown it could be because you know instinctively it would work with your style.

I wear similar colour to you and my brown boots get a LOT more wear

Does depend on the shade of the boot. Can we have a link???

Love a bit of show / boot window shopping

I wear my brown biker boots all the time because it's a softer look than the black ones. But I do have one (different!) pair in each colour Blush

Another vote for brown.

Here they are. Now I'm wondering if you'd call them biker boots. I would. Anyway.

That's really interesting. I thought there was some sort of rule for wearing brown boots.

Nice boots! I have a bit of a thing about wearing brown with certain colours so I always opt for black. I think it's a bit restrictive though and I always prefer the look of brown boots.
No help whatsoever Grin

I wear really dark brown (bitter chocolate) biker boots with grey jeans, it seems to work. More adaptable than black IMO

See Touchacat you've summed up my dilemma.

So would anyone wear my boots with black, dark denim or charcoal jeans?

I'd wear brown boots with any of those jeans. Maybe not with a black bag, if you're fussy about that (I'm not!).

I think that black would work better with your wardrobe. Brown and charcoal don't look great together. With the brown it will look like you've only got one pair of boots and you're trying to make them go with everything. The black will actually go with everything so they won't stand out as being the same pair of boots all the time.

Black for bikers I prefer. It's harder. Bikers should look tough. Plus will blend better

I think black would go better with your wardrobe. Unless it's either tan or very dark bitter chocolate brown (those boots are lovely, but more of a mid-brown), I think black looks better with dark denim and dark grey.

I bought black and never wore them. Frye do a really dark brown which is fab.

I looked up the black and they look way better. I dont like the gold on the brown boot tbh. Black goes with everything.

Ok I think I will go for the black but may have to try and buy both...Shock

I quite like them both. The gold looks different depending upon the picture on the brown ones. They are a great price!

I know what you mean about the gold moment and yes agree I can't quite tell how GOLD the gold is.

I really like the brown but think the black will be more versatile, with your wardrobe.
Have you got an older boots in either colour that are still wearable and could be worn ( very occasionally) if needed over the next 6 months until you can buy another pair?

Yes I have these and have loved them for two years now but I'm slightly over long boots this year.

But I'm now not sure I like the original boots anymore. They don't look the way I thought they would on. Look
