I've never heard of Boden ....

I'm 28 and I've never heard of it.
Have I been living under a rock.
What age is its target audience?
Is it for the more mature lady.
All I've seen since I joined is Boden this Boden that.
Am I missing out?

Boden wasn't on my radar either until I joined Mumsnet. Their shoes are nice, I find their clothes a bit meh tbh.

I am always gobsmacked by people who haven't heard of it - I buy so much stuff from them!

I'd never heard of it until I came on here either. Are there Boden shops or is it all on line? Is it naice?

I like their children's range. Buy skirts for me for work, have some friends who are obsessed with their clothes. I find the tops very baggy.

Go have a look at the website and don't be sniffy

Please don't come back and unleash another sneaky under the radar "mature lady" quip. It's not new and it's not funny.

I'd never heard of it until mumsnet. V expensive.

The only place I've heard it mentioned is on here.

I'm 25 and love it.

their casual basic stuff is good quality and their children's stuff is completely adorable as well as durable.

I nearly bought my wedding dress from their icons range.

yeah, some of their stuff feels a bit naice and grown up for me but you're never going to love everything a single retailer does.

Mature lady quip? It was a simple question.
I had never heard of it,wasn't sure if it was a shop or just online based like asos etc.

I'd never heard of it either. I only lived in London though, never saw it on the high street there

It's not on the high street except for one shop in Hanger Lane (London suburbs). ThoughI did read they have plans to open shops - don't know what happened to that idea.

Boden have a pretty wide selection of stuff- best to look for yourself and make up your own mind.

It's not really aimed at 20-somethings but having said that my DD does buy a few tops from them usually in the sales.

Nothing 60 seconds of googling wouldn't have told you then....Hmm

I've heard of them but never buy from them. I prefer the likes of Fat Face, White Stuff etc for casual, and Phase Eight when I need a top for work.

I'm 31 and I'd heard of it long before joining MN.

Their shoes and cashmere are great, clothes are sometimes a bit hit and miss in my experience. I wouldn't say it's targeted at a mature clientele.

pormeanotherdrink I'm pretty sure that logic could be applied to every thread that ever existed on Mumsnet.

I'd never heard of Boden either. I googled. On a different day I might have asked on here. Is it that big of a deal?!

I think it's actually pretty grim for the price to be honest. I'd rather shop around on the high street in various shops and spend half as much getting things that are just as nice. You are paying for the "middle class mum" label. Sorry, I know that people get offended easily on here but that's where the brand fits. It's the same vein as Joules and White Stuff and Cath Kidston. Prints everyone in the same income bracket will recognise as being from that particular brand.

Wow a few touchy people on here over a clothing website.
I did actually look at the website and seen a link for "request a catalogue" so wasn't sure if it was something like freemans where you had a credit check for a account etc.
They have some nice tops on there.

I buy loads from there, though only in the sale because I do think at full price it's over priced. That being said, I think it's good quality and it's one of the few places I can buy basic stuff from with a good shape - have recently bought plain tops and some jumpers. I'm a SAHM but I do love the smarter pieces there, just have no use for it really at the moment. I'm 31.
