£100 to spend at Boots

The DC are having meningitis b vaccines, which should add up to £100 in points. Any suggestions on what I could treat myself to? I tend to buy makeup & skincare online as it's cheaper. Has anyone tried a heated smoothing hairbrush? Or what about a hair removal thing? Any other suggestions?

I've got a lot of Boots points too, and I've been wondering what to spend them on.

Top of my list are really good quality hairbrushes. Some are in the region of £25-30. I figured that they would last forever.

Make up brushes?

Hair dryers or straighteners would be my choice but then I need new ones of both!

I'd go to the Chanel counter for a little lipstick or powder compact. You'd still have plenty left over for something more sensible.

I'd buy a nice pair of sunglasses and some perfume.

Or maybe some sort of hair device, or a new epilator.

Some nice perfume.

I always think that if you need to ask or think about it you don't need it or really want it. Therefore I'd save those points for Christmas presents for others and spend £100 elsewhere with that money.

Do you like nail polish? You could get one of those Sensationail gel polish kits.

My 2 DCs are having the meningitis injections and I reckon it will be about £15 of points...how many DC have you got?! Smile

jelly really? Have I got holiday brain? Is it worth having more kids, really quickly, in order to get more boots points?

It would be gone in a flash for me on The Sanctuary body wash, No. 7 hot cloth facial cleanser and the upmarket shampoos. I really like the coconut water spray for hair, did a 3 for 2 when I was back in the U.K. last month.

You could spend it on perfume?

I got a bargain in Boots today. A Nails Inc micropedi complete with three full size nail varnishes all for £20. Might be worth looking out in your local too?

Not so much a help spending £100, but a heads up for people that there's an offer on No.7 at the moment.

Buy any two items from the range to get a free box of treats: mascara, eyeshadow, mini primer and your choice of a moisture drench lipstick.

Well my maths (which has been known to let me down on occasion) is as follows:

£190 per child = £380 for 2 DC
£380 x 4 points per £ = 1,520 points
1 point = 1p so 1,520/100 = £15.20

Does that sound right?? I really hope I'm wrong, £100 of points would be lovely Grin

Mine have just had their first jabs and it certainly isn't anywhere near £100. I think it's more like what jelly has said. Sorry to disappoint!

can I ask HQ to delete this thread cos I feel ashamed of my poor maths? I don't even know how I came up with £100 now - oh well, it was nice dreaming.....

My maths is worse I'm sure and there's nothing wrong with dreaming. Maybe a tub of Carmex instead though..

Maybe my No.7 freebie is more relevant to this thread than I thought! Spend your £15.20 on No.7 and you get all those extras.

We went for the first injections today and the pharmacist added my advantage card to the pharmacy club or something - which gives double points on the vaccinations Smile Still not quite £100 but a nice surprise and enough for some treats so worth asking when you go in.

My DC had her MenB jab at Boots yesterday and at the very last minute I found my Double Points voucher (I always lose these and only find them when they're out of date).
Just a heads up for anyone to have a good dig around in your purse first!

Grin it's ok op, my maths is crap too!

Still £15 of points is quite a lot. When I was pregnant with my children i'd stock up from boots and make up about £40-50 on my card and spend it on baby clothes in the sales. I always use my boots card to buy presents like perfumes or nice beauty sets.

My two DC had theirs last month...ours were £220 each! Not £190 (it did state £190 on the website though)
We got 2200 points as it was double points day?
I also got 100 free points for getting an advantage card.
I'm guessing after the next one I will have about 3000 points?
I'm saving them for Xmas :)

I just clicked on this because it was in the sidebar, but if you get the Boots app there's a voucher each month for 500 points if you spend £50.
