Can anyone please help sort my skin out?!

Hoping one of you clever ladies can help me!

Never had any problems with my skin at all but for the last few months my cheeks have gone really red and almost spotty....but they're not raised spots if you see what I mean.

It's really getting me down and I've become really self conscious.

I stopped using all products on it and went for gentle cleanser etc. But have now got to the point of using nothing on it at all. Although in the last week I have been trying coconut oil.....doesn't seem to do anything.

It's not sore....just looks awful.....one side is worse than the other though! I'm wondering if it's some kind of an infection and needs a doctor....but feel a bit silly when it doesn't actually hurt.

Anyone had this before? I've attached a photo....looks awful doesn't it?!

Can anyone please help sort my skin out?!

my daughter developed late teenage acne and the only thing that sorted it out was giving up dairy. right as rain in 4 weeks.

It sounds like roseaca, I've not long been diagnosed and been prescribed antibiotics to help.

Don't use coconut oil. Tea tree oil is good. Get some glycolic acid pads. Use oil free moisturiser.

I had an odd phase recently of developing lots of spots on my chin, having previously never had any there. My beautician told me about face mapping and how if your skin is erupting in one partic area it can be easier to pinpoint why. Mine was hormonal, changed the pill and it cleared up.

Cheeks seem to be diet related...

Thank you. Think I'll try and get a doctors appointment. My sister has rosacea so maybe it's that.

I hate it! Seem to have suddenly hit a stage in my life where I look old!

I'd recommend acids too, salicylic is better for spots but glycolic I think is better for overall smoothing and refining. Personally I use both but not at the same time! Clearasil do some good pads with sal and nip fab do good ones with gly.

I would try a dab of diluted TCP ( first port if call for everything!) ditch all creams and cleansers even so called gentle ones and if that doesn't work then the GP.
