Yes absolutely you do, but in this nice weather your feet will look disgusting for a fortnight! You won't be able to have them out in public.

Yes you do.
You can shorten the peely period by wearing socks and covered shoes and soaking/towelling your feet each evening. Mine usually peel over only a few days.

I did footner about a month ago and wouldn't do it in the summer again. I got blisters on the soles of my feet during and after peeling from sandals that never normally give me blisters. Think the skin underneath is just too soft and new to go without socks for a while. I didn't find they looked too gross, I soaked my feet at night and rubbed them again in the morning. (I also found it really hard to stop myself picking at my feet in public, but that's only a problem if you are a scumbag.)

I've done footner once before in the spring when I wasn't wearing sandals and didn't have any of these problems, I'm not going to do it in the middle of summer again.

Yes. I go in three weeks and did mine on Friday. They are peeling nicely but as PP said I can't have them out in public at the moment.
Dh and I are going for a romantic weekend in London on Friday so I'm soaking like crazy in the hope they will be done by then.
