Find me a dress.

I have a wedding to go to and am absolutely at a loss as to what to wear.
It's an all day job and I like my comfort so don't think I can face spanx and heels (normally wear flats). I am a size 12 with flabby tummy and a 32e boobs. I'm not girly girly but don't really want to do the rockabilly thing. Too long a dress with flats is so frumpy on me. Too pretty doesn't go with my quarter sleeve tattoo (which I don't mind showing off).
Oh and I'm not rolling in it but could stretch to around £80 for the right dress.
Help wise vipers.

What colours suit you? Plain or patterned?

Dark colours. Not keen on geometric patterns. Quite like floral.

I like this dress but I know it'll look cheap. Because it is cheap. Also the v is a little low.

Oh. I'm 33 but look younger and have long blonde hair.

Not keen on lace but would wear it at a push. Bit long with flats. I don't want to look like a conservatively dressed maid.

Love the first one! Any idea how they are with returns and how true to size they are?

I'm over my 50's phase. I'm not cool enough and can't be arsed topping up red lippy all day.

Not bought direct w Closet, they sell via ASOS, JL etc so maybe see if it's available through one of those first?

I might have to buy that Zara dress...

I like that Closet one you linked to, bit less dressy than the one I linked so might depends how formal or not the wedding is. I find them fairly true to size but slightly depends on style and material...

Does it have to be a dress, or could it be a jumpsuit? Some of the best dressed people I've seen at this summer's weddings have been in jumpsuits.

They're comfortable, trendy and much more forgiving than a tight dress IMO.

I thought jumpsuit earlier. Link me up!

I also have this one, which I love, and is a bit more casual than the Warehouse one above. I'm recommending it because it works well with my 32e boobs and flabby tummy, but size up:

Right. Ive ordered this as suggested above. www.closetlondon.com/purple-floral-contrast-hem-v-neck-dress.html

And also this www.closetlondon.com/closet-floral-cross-over-jumpsuit.html

Thanks for the input. I'm excited to try my first jumpsuit of adulthood!

The dress is a keeper. Weirdly it'd be better with pockets but it doesn't have them.
The jumpsuit is too short in the body and is getting sent back. It is nice though but even though I'm only 5'6" it's camel toe central and far too short.

Great, glad you like the dress! Are you long in the body? Just wondering about that jumpsuit...
