Would really appreciate some advice please smile
Ds is 4 months old, but I have definitely not shifted the baby weight yet, Im a size 16 at the minute and this is literally the only dress I have thought would do :/ but I'm really paranoid about my arms also, plus with the weather not knowing what to do with itself I'm thinking I need some sort of shawl or wrap? Or would that be too old fashioned?
This is quite a nice wedding in a high end venue and I am just dreading it due to how I feel about myself at the minute!

That's loveky! I'd go for navy shoes and a pashmina, I dont care if it's old fashioned. I love a shawl!

Ps the dress is from Whistles and I have nude shoes and a bag I could match it with if that helps smile

Littleallovertheshop Sun 17-Jul-16 18:27:06

That sounds perfect - a navy or cream pashmina?

Little gold/sparky cardi? Hope you have a lovely time.

I don't know how to style it but I love that dress.

I personally hate pashminas. They age you 10+ years. I'd buy a smart silk bomber or duster jacket in a plain colour instead. Try Topshop?

So hard to find something sad

MissMalteser Sun 17-Jul-16 18:38:09

Thank you Sonic, it is a lovely dress and I got it on sale too which makes it even nicer smile
ceecee I would love to find a jacket to go with it but I am very big chested and most styles are too tight around the bust unless I go for a blazer style which wouldn't be dressy enough?

Gold cardi here. uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_17,mon_17.4/8432841252?_$ja=tsid:48544%7Ccid:356445562%7Cagid:27083615002%7Ctid:pla-175687064242%7Ccrid:87709736842%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:4198554049369862444%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o1&gclid=CMG_rfWE-80CFQPgGwodwxgO_w&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CJ6puvWE-80CFWVU2wodLNwJJQ

And another one m.alexandalexa.com/billieblush-gold-lurex-cropped-cardigan/p/67586?country_override=GB&gclid=CKa7mZiF-80CFSsz0wod5qsAug

(You can tell I'm keen on this idea)

MissMalteser Sun 17-Jul-16 18:45:06

Thank you rainatnignt but the dress' main colours are blue and orange so I don't think a gold cardigan would go?

CoolCarrie Sun 17-Jul-16 18:51:32

Lovely dress. Try Zara, New Look or Urban Outfitters. I got a fab wrap/shawl from UB with lovely birds embroidered on shoulders at the back.

BananaChew Sun 17-Jul-16 18:52:47

Oooh lovely dress!

Rainatnight Sun 17-Jul-16 18:53:48

My theory is that gold goes with everything. It's basically a neutral.

Runningupthathill82 Sun 17-Jul-16 19:17:08

Gorgeous,gorgeous dress.
A cardigan or shrug just wouldn't work - itd ruin the look completely IMO. And pashminas are awful, they scream "I'm at a wedding and I don't know what to wear."

A really lightweight blazer or silk bomber would look better but I really you need to let that dress shout on its own. It's beautiful. With shoes in the red/orange colour that's in the dress, or perhaps gold?
