Mascara help please!

I'm sure this has been done but I've looked and I couldn't find anything sorry.
I'm looking for a mascara that might not actually exist. I need one that will be easy to apply (at 6am), stay on all day, make my blonde lashes look long and dark and lovely and be waterproof. And here's the thing, every single one I use seem to 'leak' even my current expensive Lancôme Hypnose waterproof giving me a pantomime dame look. Is it me?
Please help! Happy to invest in a really decent one but not quite sure where to go now.

Benefit their reall mascara is pretty hardwearing and a bugger to get off. I'm using YSL doll eyes at the moment and haven't had any transfer. I was disappointed by too faced better than sex mascara, went everywhere on my eyes

Thanks Gypsy. Will look into the Benefit one.

I would try Estée Lauder double wear. My mascara always transfers to upper lids. This stuff stays strong. I must say I have never had any luck at all with benefit mascara. Ends up everywhere on me!

I watch a youtuber called fleur de force. She done a video fairly recently on her fav mascara, I trust her judgement as she said the same as me about the too faced one that everyone is raving abour

My mum really struggles with mascara leaking all around her eyes and she used to like the Clinique one that I think was a tubing mascara? I bought her one from Superdrugs B range as a stocking filler at Christmas as she never wanted to try a new one in case it was rubbish and she rates it just as highly, doesn't budge all day and it's really cheap and often on special offer. If I remember correctly all the mascaras in that range are tubing so shouldn't slide off!

I have this problem & recently tried Urban Decay Cannonball waterproof & Too Faced Lash Injection which is a tubing mascara. I tried one on each eye as they let me try it in the shop & had no smudging at the end of the day. The Lash Injection was a bit gooey & I had read that in reviews but I only use mascara on my bottom lashes as I have eyelash extensions.

I have heard the Benefit They're Real can smudge & is a nightmare to get off.

Lash power long lasting by Clinique is amazing.

I have both greasy and runny eyes, only ones which have worked on me have been Estee Lauder double wear and the new MAC false lash waterproof one. Neither budges

Clinique tubing mascara in onyx is amazing and I refuse to buy another one ever again! It only come off with warm water, never flakes or smudges and makes lashes appear gorgeously long.

I have this exact problem and have finally found a mascara that doesn't run, its boots 17 falsifeye, the HD one. Its £6.99 so not too pricey. Honestly it is great stuff!

This stuff is great - it's a tubing mascara too. I've used loads of high end & high street mascaras in the past and this wins hands down. You can also buy in Space NK

I'm miles from anywhere this weekend, except Boots so I think I'll start there and see how it goes. Thanks for the recommendations. Tubing- how does that work and do you apply it as normal?

I need a tubing mascara - every other mascara leaks into my skin and I end up with grey smudges under my eyes. I must have spend hundreds trying out different brands and it always ended up half way down my face.

I bought No7's tubing mascara and it has genuinely changed how I look. It stays on all day and never, ever budges. It's called Stay Perfect, in a gold tube. About £14 I think.

Tubing mascaras create little tubes around your own lashed to extend them. You need to apply fairly quickly- after a minute or so they start to dry and then it goes a bit clumpy if you reapply. I tend to think of it as four stages - I do one upper, then the lower and repeat on the other side. Make sure I'm happy with one before I move on because I can't go back.

You apply as normal, to take off you use a warm damp cloth or pad. They pull off your eyelashes easily when wet and warm. No chemicals required which is a bonus for me.

Can you build up with tubing mascara? Is it volumising?

Report
BananaChew · 16/07/2016 16:09

Yes but only if you are fast. You can keep building for probably about a minute, then it's kind of dried and doesn't work as well.

Hmmm I'm tempted!

I recommend Max Factor 2000 calorie every time, it comes in a waterproof version. Good luck!

PS I've tested loads from budget to pricey. I'm not a fan of the tubing mascaras as the texture doesn't feel right with me.

Clinique high impact lash curling mascara. It is tubing and stays on all day, doesn't run, comes off easily.

Benefit they're real
YSL false lash effect
Max Factor false lash effect
MAC Haute and Naughty
Maybelline the rocket

^all the ones I switch between, love them although the Benefit one is a total pain in the arse to get off!

I've got the Max Factor 2000 calorie one on today. It doesn't make my lashes look as long and lush as my usual but I don't look like a pantomime dame for the first time in ages! Thanks for the recommendation and it was cheap.
