How would you describe my style? (Home)

It's a French country/vintage look, but polished and nothing too florally. I draw a line with a lot of Cath Kidston bollocks but have some of her subtle things

So polished, country style and very chic and stylish, but NOT modern.

I would've said country/shabby chic but it's more collected and put together than that, if you get me BlushConfusedGrinWine

I'd call that typical "nappy valley".

Is that your actual house?

I would call it 'show house'.

I thinking looks lovely and clean and fresh and well put together.

If your looking for criticism, then my only gripe would be that some might view it as bland (not me) or lacking in personal touches (maybe me...)

It looks like it's from a magazine SmileFlowers

Next home. It's coordinated with a theme, and what I'd expect to see in Next.

Twixt the commons in Clapham. Scores of houses like that, every other in fact, esp circa 2008. It's nice. Neutral, of its time with contemporary bits and bobs. I like your bathroom - prefer it to marble and chrome.

I am learning not to do 'style' and I'm going with what I feel reflects DH and I. While I would love to grace the pages of House Beautiful, tis not to be, so I will settle for random things that say 'us'. Most people would probably be horrified but I really want a Lord of the Rings themed doormat (but the import tax makes it too expensive Sad )

It's a mix of both in my opinion. For example dining table vintage but glance over to the shiny breakfast bar thingy very modern!

Similarly stars on wall in kids room def not vintage... But the chair is a take on an old style.

She was in a magazine not long ago I think.....

sleepy sweet Jesus, I have no idea. She says on her blog that there's no secret, she just keeps on top Confused

Mind you, even her pram and the kids toys are a similar theme!

The theme is, well, what's the opposite of individual? Ordinary?

She also mentioned in one blog that her kids aren't allowed bright colours Grin
