A bad encounter with mineral makeup, never to be repeated

I bought some mineral foundation yesterday from the Body Shop. Tried it this morning and as some of the powder fell off the brush on its way to my face it made me cough and since then my throat has felt tight. Not only that but it made my face red and itchy and I had to scrub it off a few minutes later. Am I a weirdo or has this happened to anyone else??

Mineral foundations realllllllly aggreivate my skin/ caused me to have a ridiculous breakout of spots, when usually I only get the odd one.
Abit worrying it making your throat feel tight ? Allergic maybe?

Bare minerals gave me an itchy red face. I think it's the bismuth oxychloride in it.

They have some makeup that doesn't contain it that suited me better.

I have the same reaction to mineral make up, I have tried several different brands too, even the bismuth free ones.

I really like the effect but they are touted as being suitable for all skin types and not pore clogging but I found the opposite.

Take an antihistamine quickly anc don't use it again!! The throat feeling right thing is worrying. Throw it away.

Bare Minerals brought me out in huge red lumps. Lily Lolo is fine though.

Glad I'm not the only one, not that I'm wishing reactions on anyone else! I went to the Drs and she told me to take a double dose of antihistamine, which I did and thankfully it calmed down. Chucked the bloody stuff in the bin. My face has come up in lots of spots too, brilliant!
