Best place to have bra-fitting in London

Where's the best place to have a bra fitting in London. I'm thinking of one of the department stores on Oxford Street or any stores in Sutton, Bromley or Croydon.

Historically I've gone to a particular store but the lovely competent older lady has been replaced by 2 belligerent younger ladies who took 25 minutes to not come to measure me despite 3 requests.

I think John Lewis on Oxford Street are the best. Rigby & Peller are amazing too, I so want to go back there soon and treat myself to some lovely bras.

Others will be along with 'locals' lowdown but if you 'large of nork' I'd like to point you towards Bravissimo, just off Oxford Street. Ask to see Anne or Amy ('Thank you both!')

Rigby and Peller, Conduit, Hans and King's Road are supposedly 'the best' but I've never been. Friends who have have commented on a certain bossiness.

Bravissimo. And you don't have to be large, they have bras starting from D.

I'm not particularly large of nork so perhaps a no to Bravissimo and the lovely sounding Fitting Studio.
Have always assumed that Rigby & Peller would be expensive.

Perhaps it will have to be John Lewis. Will probably spend more in homeware though!

Rugby and Peller bras are fairly pricey but they do offer a helpful service. You do not pay for the bra fitting, just the bra. DD has just been measured at Selfridges in Oxford Street. They have revamped their lingerie dept and have lots of more sensibly priced bras as well as the more expensive ones. It is the best store anyway - for lots of reasons - and is definitely more fun than JL! It also has the best shoe dept!

I really liked selfridges. Not crazy expensive. Ladies were lovely and really helpful. Told them my budget and stuck to it and left with 3 bras. Lovely place to shop after recent refurb too.

I was measured in Selfridges a few years ago and the woman was incredible. I'm going back there today. Yay!

John Lewis I found humiliating. The lady struggled to find one which fitted and kept blaming my breasts and looking at her watch while I was trying on. Not going back there.

I love Rigby and Pellar.
I get my "basic" Prima Donna T-shirt bras from there and the odd frivolous one.
I love the way they just look at you and bring you the correct size. And how it makes you look slimmer by wearing correct size bra.

Selfridges gets my vote. Lovely staff, incredibly helpful and really listen to your preferences then come back to you with loads of great things to try. Only shock was finding out I'm. 30 E! ffs. My boobs are like polo mints on an ironing board. She estimated correctly before even measuring me and I flatly refused to believe her!

I vote Rigby & Peller. They do have some eye-wateringly expensive bras but their fitting service was the best I've ever experienced, they also did not mind one bit that I didn't buy any bras - I had a specific brief and budget that they didn't have as it was the week before 'new season' stock was released. They helped me fit a sports bra as well which I bought and has been the best one I've ever had.

Local I bet you are larger of nork than you think. I am tiny, not even a handful, yet I am 32E. Have you tried measuring using the proper MN method? I bet it will astound you

Selfridges are an interesting call - not had them recommended before on these threads but their jeans fitting service is great, and 30E sounds like a fitter who knows her stuff.

I've always found John Lewis good and they have a good range of bras at moderate price points - if you're not that big you may still be a D cup and big enough for Bravissimo, but you'll also be able to get away with cheaper "mainstream" bras.

Well I've just had a quick measure using SorrelForbes link and I am 34E but seriously I'm not big

Perhaps I would be Bravissimo size. I always assumed that was for a more significant norkage. Will take a look at where their stores are.

34E isn't really that big. There are two branches in London (Oxford Circus (Ann is great) and Covent Garden) and both are excellent. You'll get a proper fitting and a good selection to choose from.

I have no boobs at all. Yet I'm wearing a perfectly fitting 32E which I got in Bravissimo. Honestly give it a go.

Rigby & Peller is worth it.

I went in floppy 34D and came out a perky 32E. Miracle workers.

I only buy my t-shirt bras from there. But its changed the size I buy in elsewhere (more cheaply!) and I now wear a bra that fits.

Selfridges without a doubt. I have been going there for 15 years and they're amazing. First time I went there they took me out of 34DD (thank you Marks and Spencer) and put me in 28E. Couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. They also advised me on the right bras and sizes during my pregnancies and breast feeding. Love them.
