maybe a misnomer to post questions about maternity wear in style and beauty cos there isnt a huge deal of choice but!

no stores near me stock maternity wear - its all online.

could anyone please give me a heads up on how the sizes come up particularly for purpless and asos please?

im normally a size 12 but i cant bear anything tight at the moment.

i want to order a few shedloads from purpless - im not expecting great things from the prices but i cant justify spending loads on something ill only wear for a few months.
i was going to get asos ridley jeans....but i cant be chewed ordering 2 sizes and returning.

really appreciate any sizing observations on any maternity brands....thank you!

I think Asos maternity wear comes up large, apart from the skinny jeans which are more true to size.

thank was skinnies i was going for.

purpless looks a bit too good to be true so be interested to know if anyone has any and what they think? and sizes for that?

You could try eBay for Isabella Oliver and Jojo mamen Bebe etc. I found Isabella Oliver I needed a size 3, Jojo I needed a small. Got some basics from next (jeans, packs of rib vests / t shirts) and again needed smaller, 10 or even an 8. Am generally a size 10-12. No help with your specific request, but just to say you may be lucky and pick up a bargain on eBay with bundles of maternity clothes. (You may have to watch for a couple of weeks)

I think Purpless are basically the same dresses as Zeta Ville, which I bought off amazon. I wasn't expecting much for the price but was pleasantly surprised! I liked the dresses so much I bought several colours and just wore them continuously for the last few months. Sizing wise I'm usually a 10 but found the 12 a better fit; they seem to come up small. No idea on other things than dresses from there I'm afraid.

Red Herring - jeans come up quite long, and generally i found their stuff came up larger rather than smaller.

Hope that helps!

Yeah, Asos runs a little big if I remember rightly. Good stuff tho.

Agree with pps. In fact, I found most of my maternity wear ran a little big, but that might be because I already had a big tummy so maternity wear in a size or two down actually fit my skinny limbs and huge belly blush.

I really liked Seraphine and they used to do some good sales. I bought a good few things from there. Also got my favourite maternity jeans from Debenhams.

I was a 14, wore a medium in jojo, large in h&m, asos true to size, found purpless dresses didn't fit me, the waist was too high and not enough boob room.

I have some purpless stuff, and mostly it fits well (size 14, 38dd boobs) but occasionally you have an odd sized item that is randomly huge. For the price though it's great!

can anyone advise on seraphine? was looking at their bundles but sizing either 10/12 or 14/16.....bit confused as defo not a 10 but equally defo not a 16....why dont they do a 12/14!!

AprilSkies44 Thu 02-Jun-16 12:35:55

anyone bought a seraphine bump kit? im wondering on the size....ive got one sat in the basket in a a 12( sometimes 14. )

LadyAntonella Thu 02-Jun-16 14:02:38

April I think I went a size down in tops and dresses - I did for all my maternity stuff - and was fine (I was probably more of a 12/14 too at the time but would have bought 10/12 I think). I never bought any trousers from there, so can't comment on those.

ive ordered the milan bump kit in an optimistic medium! ill let you know how it fits! thanks.
