Hi S&B experts,
We have a family wedding coming up soon. I am sorted (a nice Precis Petite dress, serious killer heels and nice bag, no fascinator or hat).
DD is aged 10, and wears nothing but tracksuits all winter, sports shorts and t-shirts from as early in April as she can get away with it, and wetsuits/togs a lot of weekends and all summer long. Seriously toy boy. Will just about wear a pair of jeans and nice plain top for days when we need to be somewhat "dressed up".
Having agonised for a while, and been very specific (wanted to find the exact same as she wore to a wedding 3 years ago - nothing similar available), we went shopping again on the weekend and found this.
We also agreed to buying these Converse shoes in red to pick up the crochet bit around the waist. Naice shoes would be wasted, there's a half a hope she may wear these afterwards, and they look cool with the dress.
We already had an ivory bolero cardigan (from a flowergirl duty at a wedding last year) in case it's cold and it matches perfectly.
What I am looking for is if there are any little handbags - navy or red prefereably - that might got with it.
And any ideas for doing shoulder length hair on the day. I'll probably do it, but may be able to get a hairdresser. I can do basic plaits nicely (when I can persuade her that it's worth having her hair out of her face for her sports!). Generally, she wears it all in a plain ponytail, but whispy bits come out of that especially around her face.
Oh, and 1 final question. For socks under the converse - what colour, and what length is "cool"? (I tend towards more classical styles, I am trying to be suitably trendy but I was never in the cool kids).
Thanks all,
Biddy
