Cashmere - reasonably priced - not Uniqlo?

Uniqlo have lovely colours in cashmere and the prices are good but I just ordered a load of stuff from them and the delivery driver didn't leave a card the first two times and just took the parcel away the third time without leaving a phone number (Uniqlo customer services say "not all drivers have a work phone". How can you be a courier if nobody can call you?)

So my parcel has gone back to them and I'm considering re-ordering but to a parcel shop (but it costs extra, what's that about?!). They would send it to me again but at 10 days to get back to them and then standard delivery times to me no chance mate.

Anywhere else good for reasonably priced cashmere before I re-order?

Woolovers.com or a little pricier but great quality - Edinburgh Woollen Mill on the average UK high street.

We must be the only town in the UK without an EWM but will check both of those out.

Has anyone else had this nightmare with Uniqlo? They use Hermes (surprise surprise) but though I've had other issues with Hermes I've never had anything go back to the shop like this before.

M&S prices are up there with Boden and John Lewis I find so given they tend towards lime green I would rather get them from there if I'm going to pay those prices.

Boden, lovely selection of colours and fairly decent quality....Next sometimes do cashmere and it's pretty good too

I was looking for somewhere a bit cheaper than Boden because Uniqlo is (probably because their customer service is appalling)

My one and only cashmere was from Tesco (years ago) I got a beige/neutral short sleeved round necked for £20 (bargain Grin )

It did last pretty well, I washed in a bag on the handwash/wool cycle which was the compromise to hand washing (my Woollovers are machine washable on a wool cycle)

Tesco had some in the sale earlier this year but the lairy end of stock colours, so not for me.

I haven't ever had an issue with uniqlo delivery, it's always been fine. But we do get quite a few parcels delivered so maybe the courier is more helpful because of that. I've had a good cashmere cardigan from tesco in the past but maybe not in the spring/summer.

I'm a bit of a cashmere aficionado, waiting for the sale and buying Brora is a good plan for excellent quality. I prefer to buy vintage on e-bay though, as it is often even better quality. I have recently bought a MaxMara caramel jumper and matching scarf covered with big black squiggles, very "Monica Jones" and at £40 - seemingly unusued - about 10% of what it would cost new. I think a lot of the older e-bay pieces have been expensive presents that the recipients have kept for years without wearing much if at all.

Well I ordered the Woolover ones but they are a bit itchy, that's why I love cashmere, you can wear it over short sleeves, so they are going back. They are merino mix and generally I am OK with merino but apparently not these.

Pure have little in my size in the sale and Brora is way way way beyond my price range.

I am going to browse Ebay and if no luck I'll wait for a Boden voucher I think.
