Sorry, that was not helpful. What did you do at the time? Did you say anything?

I am so upset, it is my first child free weekend for over a year, gone to stay with a friend. We had a lovely weekend plan, pedicure was first stop. Ended up being the last. It is so sore.

Blimey, that looks awful. Hope you got a refund for the pedicure. Did she say sorry?

Hopefully it will heal quickly and you'll be walking ok very soon. If not I would contact her again and tell her how bad it is.

I'd go to a walk in clinic or minor emergencies clinic and have that cleaned up and get a tetanus jab if you haven't had one in years and years.

yikes!

how long has it been bleeding?

Jesus.

I'd honestly go to urgent care Sad not for any other reason than you may not know if they used a fresh blade. If they didn't you might need a tetanus. I do not say this to be awful but simply because in past I used a grim salon before I knew better. Hmm

Take some pics and see how you recover. I would also contact the salon. I presume they knew they'd injured you? You poor thing. Flowers

OMG lndn that looks agonising. I know it's Saturday but can you see a dr, I'd be wanting antibiotics incase what ever they used to torture you with wasn't clean Flowers

Is it a large company? The trading standards, council, professional bodies if applicable need notifying. Jesus I,m horrified.

Definitely get to A&E and have it seen to. Then if it happens to get worse you have it reported and can take action against the pedicurist. I thought only proper podiatrists/chiropodists used scalpels (if thats how it happened), so they shouldnt have even been doing that!

Oh my goodness. That looks awful. What on earth were they attempting to do you when that happened?

I love a pedicure but have never had a blade used. They use files.

Go back to walk in clinic and sit on the floor. You go to A&E and you may be there a lot longer than 3 hours.

Coldtoeswarmheart · 14/05/2016 18:59

Was the blade single-use (not used on anyone else), or did you see it come out of a sterilising solution before it was used on you?

Report
TheRollingCrone · 14/05/2016 19:00

Yes, yes please go to A&E now. Oh I,m so sorry your lovely weekend ended like this Sad. That is just an awful state your foot is in.

It looks sore but I think I'd just leave it and see if it improves. Would definitely take photos and complain though.

You poor thing! I've never seen anything like that from a pedicure, what on earth did she say when she realised she'd hurt you like that?

Report
TheRollingCrone · 14/05/2016 19:27

What if it was an unclean blade? No that needs seen to. I can't look at the pic without getting the complete horrors.

I hope they sort it for you OP and you don't have to wait long. Flowers

Get it seen and soak in salt water.
It isn't legal for beauty therapists to use a blade to remove hard skin. You need to make a complaint about this. It's terrible practice. Was this a fairly cheap place?
I hope it heals quickly. Flowers

Was it one of those foot blades like a potato peeler? Just looking at them makes me flinch but they're jolly effective.

I'd be suing their ass. I never say that but that's wringer than wrong.

Where the hell was it?
