I totally fell in love with these today. Firstly, I'm 33 years old, do they look like something a 30 year old would wear?

Secondly, what would I wear with these? Could I wear some chinos or nice maxi skirts? What about skinny jeans?

There's no link?

Duh! Sorry!

Erm, don't think my piles would appreciate the thong!

I would probably wear them with cropped chinos or rolled up skinnies? I think if you only see the base of them they may look a little odd? Can you just have a try on session?

WakeUpFast Sun 08-May-16 20:23:14

Yes I agree, anything I wear needs to show the whole shoe. I can't try them on as they're at home and I'm on night duty with an ill relative, but will try tomorrow morning!

Poor you. Hopefully they will work when you get home. smile

Do they look nice though?

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia Sun 08-May-16 23:51:20

they would slice my feet to ribbons...

your toes are going to end up with a permanent crimp in them and your ankle bones will be razed off, one bony curl at a time

I do not care for them.

WakeUpFast Sun 08-May-16 23:53:42

Wtf? I don't plan on super gluing them to my feet confused😂😂

Thanks for your input, I'll remember you when my ankle bone (😕) is being razored off.

They're very...odd! And do look like they're going to rub on your ankle.
But if I were to wear them it'd be with rolled up chinos, shorts, cropped harem trousers or similar.

Runningupthathill82 Mon 09-May-16 07:24:48

Do they look like something a 30-year-old would wear?

Honestly, no. It's Clarks' attempt at a trendy sandal. The sole, the stitching on it, and the tassel are fugly IMO. My mum would buy them for her holiday. She's 64.

Wear them with a chunky toga grin

Snog Mon 09-May-16 07:31:28

Rolled up chinos is good advice but honestly I'm not much of a fan (but I'm in my 40s smile) Are they really comfy?

Patterkiller Mon 09-May-16 07:39:15

I think my issue with them is that they have a heel. Sandals of that ilk usually are totally flat or wedged. They do look like the love child of a trendy sandal and a sensible walking shoe.

Although it may be just the angle of the photo. But yes to cropped chinos.

Leelooo Mon 09-May-16 11:37:15

They look like gladiators. I'm not keen. Sorry

heyhulahoop Mon 09-May-16 11:45:42

Ankle grazer skinnies, or midi pencil skirts.

brassbrass Mon 09-May-16 16:06:49

They will go with just about anything casual -

festival/boho/gypsy skirts
denim shorts/skirt
casual dresses
any ankle grazing trousers that don't cover them up

I like gladiators shock not sure why so many people are not keen. I have a lovely pair of Roman looking gladiators bought on holiday in Italy. I searched high and low for them!

Kr1stina Mon 09-May-16 16:20:26

Did you keep the receipt ?

UntilTheCowsComeHome Mon 09-May-16 16:41:15

I'm 36 and they are way too old for me.

My mum would think they were old too.

There are much nicer sandals about.

UntilTheCowsComeHome Mon 09-May-16 16:43:20

These or these are much nicer.

ZaZathecat Mon 09-May-16 16:47:26

I like them OP! I have some quite similar from New Look and I don't think their demographic is the elderly.

Beautifullymixed Mon 09-May-16 16:50:40

These comments have had me grin

Sorry OP , it was probably not what you wanted to hear at all.......

They do look like the love child of a trendy sandal and a sensible walking shoe.
gringrin

I'm 43, and I wouldn't, my mother also wouldn't........
