Wide Leg trousers

Not everyone's taste I'm sure but these are a dream for me. It's years since there were any trousers in a style which either fit or flattered my shape. I have a small waist in relation to hips, pear shaped. I loathe anything that clings around the ankle.
I still have some pairs from the late 1970s and early 80s I am old
Suddenly the shops are full of snug waisted flares like these.

Why oh why then are they all made out of old curtains???
I can't find a plain colour in any of the shops I've tried.

Wotsername that married that film star was wearing wide cream trousers, so they do exist. She's thin as a rake and looked hilarious though...

You could try Boden Dolly. Sorry can't link on phone. They are nice and nipped in at the waist but the maaterial was too thin for my liking. Very 30s style. Plain colours blue and black I think.

I want some that are smartish, thickish and don't gave buttons on the sides. So far I have only found 2 out of 3 of these on any pair.

Smartish I have never got anything from La Redoute, so no idea about quality. These could be a bit polyester-y. But dead cheap!

Next have brilliant ones in at the moment for £25 a pair.

I've got them in navy and black. They're really, really good.

I like those Boden Dolly ones, bit above my price range though. The Braintree ones are a nice shape.
Will have a look at Next, their regular trousers never fit me but worth a look.

I didn't think the boden ones were worth it though I did get them with 25% off but they were nice.

I think those laredoute ones look too smart but thanks bike.

I like the look of those cream next ones .

Try Mango.

I don't like linen, or cotton or anything that might need ironing.
I like the palazzo style, preferably in a soft fabric that isn't nasty polyester.
I did find a cheesecloth pair, now that really took me back to 1973, but they were too short.
