Hello with 40+ skin care

So I've always had fairly good skin, bit sensitive but not oily, dry, or spotty. But now I'm over 40 suddenly it's looking much older. Always worn sunscreen, little make up, cleansed and moisturised. Now my cheeks especially are covered in open pores, and my skin always feels a bit dry. I can't spend a lot and tend to react to heavily perfumed products. Can you suggest some good habits to get into now (I use a sunscreen daily) and maybe good blogs or you tubers to have a look at? Thanks!

Boots traditional Glycerin and Rose water leaves my skin very soft and supple and at £2.29 it's a steal

I was in the same boat but I'm a few years ahead of you. Discovering caroline hirons blog (particularly her routine cheat sheat) was a revelation to me. I'm now a convert to la roche posay products, particularly redermic R for both face and eyes. I'm using glycolic acid (nip and fab glycolic fix) and I've realised that I was over moisturising. My skin looks much fresher and brighter now. Hot and flashy is another interesting blog to follow.

I've recently used and repurchased Olay Total Effects 7 Signs of Aging moisturiser in the fragrance free option, it's brilliant. I have sensitive skin, normal to combination, and this hasn't made my skin react or caused spots. Currently on offer in Boots, 9.99 or 8.99 in Savers. I rarely repurchase anything skincare-wise but this I really, really like. Good under make up too.

I like La Roche Posay, but when money is tight I use Aldi own brand cleanser, wipes and serum/ SPF moisturiser and I think I might actually prefer them now. (Was a die hard Clinique 3-Step user before all this but around 35ish it got too drying for me.)

Good skin regime - cleanse, tone, (serum if used) and moisturise every morning and night. Try basic ranges first and then move up price-wise according to your pocket. If you really have nooo idea what to choose find your local Avon rep.
