Need A Party Dress!

I have a big party coming up (a 40th of my SIL & BIL) where there will be loads of our friends. I had baby no 2 8 months ago and still carrying a bit too much around the waist. None of my clothes seem to fit properly and I definitely can't wear anything tight. Most of my fat is around my waist (although a waist has reappeared somewhat).

I really want to wear something to the party that says 'wow she's looking good after having a baby', rather than 'oh she's still a bit overweight after the baby' IYKWIM.

I have good legs, shoulders & boobs (breastfeeding has its benefits), relatively tall & fair haired. I don't mind spending a bit of money (within reason).

Anyone any good ideas?
