I am on the lookout now we've had a flash of sunshine, am going to try on some saltwaters for their retro looks and reported comfort. What's in for sunny day footwear these days?

I love teva kayentas. Really comfortable. I think they look better than most walking sandals, including with dresses Love them so much I have three colours.

Don't think they are "in" though. I'd wear my cloggs for that, though much less comfortable.

Birkenstock Gizehs the same as every year - navy, silver and brown pairs

I love those sandals Wilma. I don't give two hoots about what is "in" though. My foot comfort is more important than fashion. They look like they would be robust enough for tramping around theme parks in Orlando

I got these last year and I love them! It's not warm enough yet though (despite what everyone else seems to think hmm)

Are you all in your 80's? hmm

I like these- much redder IRL.

These Havianas. It's my 5th year in them. Most comfortable thing ever. Like walking on air. Having the strappy bit at the back makes them twice as comfy.

Hush Puppies.

I bought some Clarks sandals last year which are sooooo comfortable but also quite smart and pretty, I'll be wearing those.

Or else little pumps/gym shoes, some ancients flip flops, a very old pair of Moshulu sandals that are like Birkenstocks but nicer, or whatever else I have hidden away that I've forgotten about!

I'm not planning to buy anything new unless they are a mega-bargain!

Ihate, you read my mind grin

"Are you all in your 80's? hmm"

grin. No, I don't like having sore feet. I have "silly" shoes for when I am mostly sitting down and comfy footwear for walking miles in. Honestly, people don't look at your feet when you are sightseeing or tramping around theme parks.

Don't you do any heavy duty walking?

I've spent the last three years trying to find comfortable sandals for city break type walking (ie bloomin' miles)which don't make me want to weep at their hideousness. I still haven't found any.

Love espadrilles. Have been wearing them on and off for years. I feel happy and summery when wearing them.

The OP wanted comfortable sandals. Those high heels don't look very comfortable.

Botchit Sun 10-Apr-16 21:42:05

Yes Nicknamed, I do lots of walking. For theme park type holidays I alternate between trainers and sandals. I always manage to find sandals that are comfortable but also stylish.
For heavy duty walking I would wear walking boots.

You're right though, if you're happy in your sandals , then that's all that matters!
