Those hair straightening hairbrush thingies

I've seen an add for a hairbrush that straightens your hair on Facebook.
The advert looked brilliant, but I'm wondering if they're any good or just a bit of a novelty. Does anyone use one and are they as good as they look?

They can be great, but not if you have lots of thick hair like me

I got the stra8 brush and I hated it. Frazzled my hair and wasn't that good. Wouldn't recommend it.
