Dermal fillers

I'm thinking about getting dermal fillers for my tear trough. Has anyone got any experience of this? Worth doing? Noticeable difference?

I was going to go down the Botox route but after researching, dermal fillers look like the best option for sorting out my under eye bags and dark circles.

I'm going to do it on the quiet, so am hoping any bruising will be minimal?
Is there any type of filler that is better than the other? Any particular people in Surrey to go to? I have been looking at Epsom skin clinic and estetica and both look good.

no idea but have a consultation to possibly have this done in a couple of days...either this or botox

so marking place to hopefully hear of others experiences

Book a consultation. Have you found a practitioner?

I haven't booked a consultation yet as not sure who to book with.
Need to do some more research I think.

I've not had dermal but I have had restylane (sp) in my lips and although I'm glad I did it I wish I hadn't gone to a lower end clinic because I didn't want to wait for the appointment. She injected them too high so my top lip is bigger than the colour in my lip (hard to explain but without an opaque lipstick on top lip has a sticky out layer of skin above it?)

Anyway make sure you go somewhere where they explain the procedure to you fully before doing it!

I'm thinking of getting mine done - not for ageing as I'm only 24 but I've had really bad eye bags forever and as they're physically drawn in rather than dark concealer doesn't help - so let me know how it goes if you do go ahead!

Dunno what's wrong with me today - first line should be 'tear troughs' not dermal

I've had it done once with Dr Tracy Mountford (London and Bucks.) I'd not go anywhere else, to be honest. She's supposed to be the best in the UK. The tear troughs lasted 6 months and cost £650. I'd not have it done again because of the cost, but also the risk. I got around 50% improvement which is what she said, and it improved my eyebags more than anything. Injecting around the eyes is very dodgy and even she said she had to use great care (to avoid veins etc.) I've had Restylane as a cheek filler , 3 times , and get 15 months or more from that. I pay around £750. It's top of the price range but I'd not let anyone else near my face. She charges for a consultation but there is no pressure at all. She's too busy!

Hmm the company I thought looked really good have just told me they don't inject fillers under the eye as they don't believe they work. Confused. Thought tat was one of the best options. Hmm

I can advise lots of this as I'm an aesthetic nurse of anyone's any questions. I can also recommend practitioners as I am a member of British association of cosmetic nurses so can search for reputable clinicians in your area. Just PM me if needed X

And no I don't inject under eye either. Very risky and results too unpredictable xx
