wedding dress

Am getting married (yay) and looking for a dress - not trad wedding dress, would prefer white / cream / pastel colours. Size 16 but aiming to lose a bit of weight.

Aside from Coast, Phase Eight, Monsoon etc any other places to look.

Budget max £500.

Thanks!

House of Fraser, John Lewis, any big department store you might find a prom/evening style gown in. What style are you after? There's places like Chichi, Frock and Frill, Forever Unique - you'd easily get a dress from them within your budget. A girl I know got her wedding dress from Asos and it cost about £90. Good luck!

Jenny Packham range at Debenhams have a couple of beautiful dresses with sleeves if you're bothered about your arms at all. From 50-250. Also others without too!

Have you looked at J Crew? I love their wedding dresses, and in some lovely pastel greens and pinks at the moment. Congratulations btw Thanks

Try Lindy Bop -

Lots of great 50's dresses for a fuller figure - make sure you look at the colourful underskirts and you can pick and choose if you want a different top etc

I'm not sure if Chichi are good quality but frock and frill are meant to be fab!

All made in the brighton shop. You can choose fabrics, bodice, skirt and sleeve styles. I Do think their sizing is a little on the small side, particularly the waist although I think they are currently changing that.

My sil fell in love with a very expensive designer dress. She managed to find it SH on an online selling group.

Debenhams also have good selection

I got mine online from Kitty and Dulcie, I have the Pearly Queen. It's beautiful and fits perfectly apart from by bust being too small to fill the cup area, so I'm having it taken in there. It was on sale a few weeks ago so I only paid £295, but all of their dresses are under £400.

Ghost I got married in a ghost dress while 7 months pregnant, and I'm NOT a small woman at the best of times. They stretch. You can also get them dyed to order.

Self portrait! Love their dresses! When I eventually wed, I plan to wear one of their dresses.
