Or anyone for that matter?

I had a baby two weeks ago and I'm BF. I absolutely cannot yet go for a fitting although I will within the next few weeks or so.
Anyway I am in dire need of a brand that fits. Just one to see me through.
I measured my ribcage - 30inches
I measured over my current bra which is padded like a t shirt bra basically and it gave 38 inches.
Roughly what is my size please?? If I have an approximate size then I can batch buy bras in similar size and style and send back what doesn't fit.
Can anyone help my poor squished chest!?

Wow OK...Thank you!! by the way. I really need pointing in the right direction and I didn't have a clue.
So regarding ordering in bras, apart from buying 30ff's, is it better to order 30Gs or go down to 30Fs? I may be bulk buying but I don't have that much money..Blush

Don't buy lots of bras yet if you are bf. Your boobs will fluctuate in size as feeding settles. By about 6 weeks you'll have a better idea of size so just get what you need to get by for now. Or if you think you can manage for another few weeks then hang on and buy then.

Always lots of nursing bras on eBay often only gently used if that's a good option for you as they can be expensive.

I know they are all over the place in the early weeks of motherhood but all I need is on bra for now to tide me over. I'm wearing a hideously uncomfortable nursing bra right now that clearly is not my correct size and I'm suffering for it! I just want one bra, it'll make me feel so much better.

I have already found 30FFs on eBay. Starting from a tenner. Not bad at all for starters.

If your current bra is squishing you, you might actually need a bigger cup size, so probably better to go G or even GG, rather than F. I'd get a couple of very inexpensive ones that you'd be happy to throw in the wash with whatever's going in and re-visit in about a month when things have settled down a little.

Some of the Lorna drew nursing bras have an adjustable cup, I personally find them really comfortable. There's a sale on asos

yout boobs will change loads over the next few weeks so only buy one or two.

Congratulations on your baby!

You don't measure over a bra. You lean over and let them dangle free.

Hello again.
I remeasured - rib 30inches and boob 40 inches. What would that make my size? FlowersFlowers

Can't help with the sizing but for the first few weeks I wore these very stretchy bra crop top things. Adjustable straps, hook and eye back, drop cups. They came on simple sizes and one had soft gel 'wires' which were v comfy. They were fantastic while my supply settled and I bought more expensive bras when my breasts decided on a size!

When my dd is asleep I'll check the make Smile

That would be a starting point of a 30GG.

Blimey. Whoppers or what Blush Thank you StatisticallyChallenged that is such a help. If i could ask one more thing though - my right boob is far heavier and fuller than the left. I would go as far as to say it is possibly a cup larger. Does this have any effect on the size you've estimated?

Have a look at the better bra campaign website, there's a post on managing asymmetry. It's a bit of trial and error and the measurements are only a starting point.

Place marking for jobrum's update as I have the opposite problem of tiny boobs whether BF or not and even the smallest nursing bras practically cover my entire torso!
