I'm thinking of purchasing, does anyone have it and like it/hate it?

Do you mean the eye serum or the large square-ish bottle that is commonly known as Advanced Night Repair? For the latter, it's fine, comforting and hydrating that won't upset most skins. It's an old staple but don't expect anything life changing that'll make wrinkles disappear, etc. Basically it is good but for the price there are better serums out there, equally cheaper serums will do the same thing. If you are serious about buying it, sample it for a good few days (just ask multiple samples) it has a rather sticky feel that not everyone can appreciate.

I used the serum years ago, when I didn't even really need it, and thought it was a bit meh. It's since been reformulated, and I really like it - it's one of those things that I don't think I notice, but my skin definitely looks "worse" when I don't use it.

I've been using it for a couple of years now (since my early 30s) and I rate it. I think my skin just looks somehow better - perhaps brighter, with less visible pores. It is one product that I'm happy to splash the cash on.

I got a sample at Christmas.

I have bad acne prone skin, oily with lots of scars.

Three weeks of using it and my skin was transformed. Well worth the money

I've used it or the Lancôme one for years and think it really makes a difference, I always use at least factor 30 on my face during the day, drink loads of water and wear sunglasses so the lack of wrinkles could be down to that!!

I use Lacura serum,. A snip at £3.49. It has made a huge difference to my skin.

If you're going to spend the money is use the Clarins double serum instead. I use both but found the Clarins nicer.
Don't think either contribute that effectively to wrinkles but I use retin-a and that's more effective than anything.

Tried it but think it's overhyped other brands as good/ less expensive e.g. origins, body shop etc..

I found it cheap so I may try it and put it down to a costly mistake if it doesn't work. I also ordered the superdrug simply pure serum as that was only £2.69 and therefore I can afford to discard it if it's crap.

pearly Interested in what you said about Lacura serum. That's Aldi's brand isn't it? What benefits have you noticed? At that price you can slather it on !

Yes it's aldi, I have only been using it for 2 months but noticed a huge difference in my skin after only a week. Blemishes seem reduces, fine lines have nearly gone and my skin looks plumper and more radiant.
It's better that most of the expensive brands I have used.

Right I'm buying. Food shop tomorrow so will throw in a couple of boxes. Have used their cream before and it is as good as big brands imo.

I wouldn't invest in the Clarins Double Serum, been using it since Christmas at night & can't say that it's any better than one from Superdrug. Huge disappointment.

Going back to the ANR, yes it's really good, I think. Not currently using it, as haven't been able to afford it the past few months Sad I'd say it makes my skin look smoother and brighter.

Put it this way, as soon as I can afford it again, I'll be very excited!

I just got a sample of EA capsules last weekend, the gold coloured ones. I don't know if this is some miracle product, as I used one, one morning, and when I went out for the day, I got so many nice comments on how good my skin looked. I thought, it could not be possible to make a difference in one application... but they did boost my self confidence Wink

I will try again, didn't want to use them each day, just space them out and see if they make a difference each time.

I have used Double Serum for a while now, but I don't think its the miracle product that some make it out to be.

Went to Aldi today and bought 3 products. An eye gel , a serum and a facial treatment oil. The whole lot cost about £13, the product looked good and the oil felt lovely on my face last night at bed time. Will keep using and see how it goes but at that price I am happy already.

Let me know how you get on with the Aldi serum - where I can trim my beauty regime costs I want to. Even though I always wait until my Emma Hardie balm is discounted, it is still just under £30 and I need to cut that down somehow.

I love the Emma hardie balm too - bought on Mother's Day with 20% off & a free 50ml included!

I like the superdrug simply serum & going to try their vit e cream cleanser next. I love the Aldi caviar creams (la prairie copies). Waitrose simply pure facial oil is nice for another budget option

Meant to say I'm not dying about the ANR - missha has a copy which is cheaper. It's ok but not life changing.

So far the Aldi products feel great on my skin.I look better, fresher somehow in the morning after applying the facial treatment oil at night. It's early days but definitely making my skin feel as soft, smooth and pampered as when I use No7 protect and perfect and my purse is very happy. My branch had run out of the caviar cream but I plan to get that too as it's cheaper than the Loreal revitalift I currently use.

I use it it is great just watch you don't get it in your eye. It makes mine smart for ages. You just need a small amount on. I usually buy the Christmas special and get the creams then or duty free.

I've used the Missha copy of ANR (both the regular and the eye serum). Both are nice but don't expect miracles.

thebestfurchinchilla that's interesting. I was wondering how you were getting on when I used my aldi serum this morning,
I washed my face with shower gel this morning as I had left my normal face wash out of reach.
My skin felt dry and too taught after I dried it- I put on my aldi serum and I could feel my skin drinking it in, it felt so drenched and nourished., and it has felt that way all day.

I haven't tried the caviar, that's next on my list.

What are the Missha ones called, Frugal?

I cancelled my Estée Lauder purchase as I wanted to try superdrug first, which I need to collect in store tomorrow. May get it after that, dependent on how good superdrug is.
