Help me decipher Korean skincare

Ok, I know there have been threads 100s of pages long already but struggling to get to grips with it all and I want in!
Can someone recommend for me:

  1. A mattifying oil free BB cream with at least SPF 30 which would suit NC20 yellowish skin - one that hides pores and fine lines would be ideal. I've looked at skin79 but got so confused by the different colours, pink, gold, orange etc also can't seem to find ingredient lists for any of them. So recs please, much appreciated.
  2. An antiaging product - again can't find ingredients on the various websites so have no idea what they will do. I already use glycolic acid, retinol, vita c and niacinamide products so what else can Korean skincare offer me? Snail cream? which one?
  3. Want to try a sheet mask - one that will plump and tighten - any suggestions?

T hen, where do I buy from - which website is best - and which ones offer the sampler kits I keep reading about?
In terms of essences, if I already acid tone, do I need one?
I'm 43, pale with yellow undertones but redness across cheeks and nose, acne currently treated with Accutane. I have crows feet, deep marionette lines, eye bags and frown lines - god I sound delightful writing it all down.
My main concerns are lifting and plumping and finding a natural bb cream that isn't shiny. Eye baggage shrinkage would be nice!!
Any hope for me?

Blatant bump - am having a whale of a time on RoseRose site - bag currently has 13 items!!! Would appreciate some guidance. Currently Mizon and Edute House are winning based on google reviews but it's slow progress. Need to stop looking at all the cute gorgeous makeup packaging and focus on skincare! I'm finding the way items are described so cute - some of the descriptions are like poetry, amazing. Also reading blog reviews where there is a blatant anti dark vibe which is making me laugh - as an actual NC10 who fake tans to look a more alive by Western standards NC20, their take on pale is refreshing - I remember being in HK a while back and being complimented on my pale Irish skin - maybe I should move.
One graph that made me chuckle was shade comparison of bb creams against MAC shades but it only went up to NC\NW 15!! Then there are all the subtle but bitchy comments on the blogs - oh, you're quite tan so not sure it will suit you - hilarious!

is this any use for a starter?

I too am intrigued, and am going to start replacing my current things as they come to an end, as suggested on this link

Hi all - husband is currently in Seoul.... Shall I get him to buy me any skincare?! I know nothing but already double cleanse, use redeem redermic r at night and factor 50 sunscreen. I have tried vitamin c serum (oz naturals?) but it did nothing for me and was so liquids. Have baaaaad melasma (hormonal pigmentation) from 3 pregnancies but tried peels etc and have now accepted nothing is going to work. I'm 41 (just!). Last baby is now 15 months. Any ideas??! Thank you!

Thanks Pancake - yes I read that last night - really useful. I suppose I'm looking for tried and tested and outstanding result recommendations.
Shirking, maybe look for products with arbutin - lots of Korean skincare have this - look for term whitening in title maybe? You could try and get hydroquinone on prescription - but maybe the Asian lines are allowed to use hydroquinone - hopefully someone else will chip in here.

BB Cream: I love lioele triple the solution and dollish veil bb creams. You can buy them in sample packets very cheaply on ebay and each packet is quite generous. Splash out on a cushion puff or the Etude House secret brush (MAC sells an equivalent for about 10 times the price) to put the BB cream on.

With regards to the other products, you need to try them - so samples are best here. Shops like roseroseshop and testerkorea sell samples in packets of 10 so you can try things out.

I'm NC20 and love Lioele triple the solution BB. It has an SPF 30 as well.

Ooh - husband came up trumps and bought about 20 face masks (Skin Food) (because he went shopping with a female colleague - nice of her!) plus some Nature Republic Snail Solution essence.... This could be an expensive 'thing'....

Ive the Mizon snail cream, the AIO. It's more like a gel-cream than cream-cream. TBH I wasn't too sure about it at first but now I've used it for a while id say the benefit I can see is in skin/cell renewal. So for example, if I've had a spot or blemish that left a mark on the skin it seems to improve the skin very quickly. I'm also trying it on DS's eczema and it seems to help.
