Style and beauty

so what do we think of the Clarks silver sporty brogues?

I have to wear flats (injury). Normally Doc Marten shoes or boots in black or Birkenstock. I work in an office but dress fairly casually. Jeans, shirts, skirts, wrap tops etc

I'd love some shoes with colour that are still comfy and think these are really nice - to wear with jeans, skirts or even a dress.

Am I mad?

They look like they haven't been sewn together properly

Jesus Christ they are ugly. Those soles!!

Totally hideous. Sorry! Hate the chunky white sole, and they look like they haven't been sewn together properly.

yeah I'm a bit of a fan of fugly shoes :)
I just want to steer clear of naff.

Love the tops, abhor the soles. ..why not just a decent pump type sole?

They're hideous.

Really hideous.

They are a bit weird if I'm honest. The silver is just a bit too "wacky-zany" for my liking in a "you don't have to be mad to work here but it helps haha" kind of way. The big white soles are ugly.

Get some normal leather brogues in a bright blue maybe?

I prefer these other silver Clarks ones - I have my eye on them myself...!

They look like pieces of two different shoes stuck together - the tops are ok, but the soles are awful.
Sorry!
Silver brogues per se could look great though - just not these ones!

I love them - but this is the woman who wears sheepskin lined Birkenstocks. Grin

They are almost nice. The seam running around the shoe is weird looking.

I don't like them at all-the front looks wrong.

LadyPriggsbottom · 15/03/2016 13:32

Not my cup of tea at all I'm afraid, and I quite often like the fugly shoes! The soles just look wrong on them to me... Kind of like someone at the manufacturers had a load of random white soles lying about, dug out some silver uppers and just whacked them together.

I'll have to pop into Clarks at lunchtime tomorrow for a proper look at the questionable soles.

They're great. I'd wear them if I weren't so dumpy short.

They're very Marmite OP - people will either loathe or love. I'm firmly in the "love' camp Smile
