Should my new Parlux be doing this or is it faulty?

It has two switches, one for cool air and one for hot. When I turn on the one for hot, nothing happens at all, either at medium or maximum settings. When I turn on the one for cool, I get cool air, and a stronger blast if cool if at maximum. If I turn on the cool switch then the hot switch, the air becomes hot. I can then make the hot air blast stronger or weaker by switching the cold dryer button between medium and Max - but doing this in the hot air button seems to have no effect.

Faulty hairdryer or is this just what they do? It's a 385 light ceramic ionic, if that makes a differences.

I have this hairdryer . There are 2 switches, the lower one is the power switch controlling the strength of air flow , the higher one controls the heat . That is how you adjust it to suit you. If you press the black button above the switches you get a blast of cool air . So no, I don't think your dryer is faulty .

They are confusing , every drier seems to work differently ! Hope you love your Parlux as much as I love mine ! Gave my hair a good blast with the cold button as s final step this morning after blow drying and have had lovely swishy hair all day.

I'm just about to order that model ... the blurb says there are 4 heat settings but from what you write, it sounds like two? Is that right? Having finally decided on a model, I'm now procrastinating on colour!

There are 4 settings-
Cool heat , medium airflow
Cool heat , strong airflow
Warm heat , medium airflow
High heat, strong airflow
Plus the cool button which just blasts cold air , overriding the settings
Hope this makes sense !
