shoe help for dh please!

Hi, we are going shoe shopping on Monday and dh is always a bit stumped with shoes. So can anyone advise what type of shoes would be good for spring/summer? He has a smart casual/preppy type look - so summer would be chinos or linen trousers, cotton shirt, casual blazer or v-neck jumper, carries a brown leather stachel.
He prefers slip ons must be his age

How about something like elasticated Vans? Boat shoes are preppy. I have bought DH shoes in Clarks in the past, not that he wears them though! Birkenstock?
