Underarm hair removal for allergic hypersensitive skin

So DD 13 wants to remove her underarm hair and that's fine with me.

So far she has reacted very badly to all the main brands of sensitive hair removal cream and shaving foam.

Can anyone reccomend anything hypoallergenic or an alternative to creaming / shaving / waxing?

My DD is nearly 14yo, she uses a Wet/Dry Ladyshave in the shower.
She reacted to a couple of the cream removers and I won't let her use a razor/foam (I had years of sharp stubbly armpits until I discovered wax)

If my DD gets fed up with her Ladyshave, I'd suggest hotwax (either salon or I'd help her)

BTW - DD does gymnastics so she's very picky about leg/armpit hair in the clothes they wear.

I use hair conditioner instead of shaving foam as shaving foam seems to aggravate my eczema. Also make sure razor she is using is sharp.

didnt someone on here suggest talcum powder and dry shaving worked well?

I shave my armpits with just soap and water, when in the shower. There isnt any need to use shaving foam really. Hair conditioner is also good if lubrication is needed

I use an epilator instead of shaving. Lasts a lot longer, no chemicals needed. I'm not sure how good it is for hypersensitive skin though, as obviously pulling out hairs is also irritating

I have super-allergic skin too.Waxing really damages my skin and causes rashes and broken veins.I can't use hair removal creams either.The best thing is shaving with a Venus razor.I use a Oilatum bar to wash and shave legs.

Fab. Thanks. I haven't thought of the soap / conditioner - will try - although not sure she will let me go anywhere near them now. She's in such pain poor thing.

Ok she needs to expose her underarms to warm water for quite a long time to soften the hair/skin before shaving, maybe using a wet flannel, and it's worth investing in more expensive razors like Venus. Conditioner works brilliantly, best beauty tip I've read about on MN. Then no deodorant or other products.

I think she might be better with a ladyshave. They dont shave as close, so less irritation, and she wont cut herself.
