Help me....I have no clue about fashion

I need help. Am going out with mega skinny and gorgeous sil and our equally skinny and gorgeous pal. Were going out to celebrate my belated 30th bday and I'm in the process of trying lose some weight as I've let myself go in a big way

What on earth do people wear on a night out these days? I never go out and have never really been very fashionable. I'm off out to find something tonight but don't want to look frumpy next to them.

I'm an 18 so probably wouldn't feel comfortable in a very short skirt and am not great with heels, they seem to kill myou feet but when I wear flats my legs look huge.

I'm dreading this now please someone point me in the direction of some basics that'll help me look trendy!

Hi Snooky, have you found anything you like?

I'd go for coated skinny jeans, they are very sexy and slimming, and looks like leather trousers but less harsh. H&M had some nice ones.
Silk top or an oversized dressy sweater to show off some shoulder and edgy earrings.

Sexy hair and makeup.

Ankle boots with chunky heels (more stable) or party shoes - if you are uncomfortable because of wide feet, try a size bigger than you usually go for, you may be surprised what a difference it makes.

If you go for a dress, make sure it is very fitted in your narrowest part (usually right under boobs). Avoid anything baggy, it will make you look larger than you are. No tights... A clutch.

Maybe a silk jumpsuit.

Last night was not a huge success as didn't get long to look. Am out again now trying to find something.

Went down the skinny jeans with baggy ish top route. Have no clue on shoes so just going to try on a bunch managed to find a nice pink cami which im putting with dark/indigo skinny jeans and might look for a blazer? Would have loved to do a nice off the shoulder jumper but not manage to find anything like that. Would have been way more comfy.

Would like some nice pumps if I can find any. Am also going to dress it up with some jewellery (cheap and chunky kind )
