So I have my SIL wedding in the summer. I know that white/cream is out but what other colours wouldnt work? Black? Red? Should I stick to pastels or should it not matter?

would black be bad for a summer wedding? Would red be to bright? I am fine about choosing a dress. Just worry about colours!!!

I would always avoid black (as it is the colour of mourning) and white (too bridal), possibly red (if bridal colour from the culture of if marrying couple).

No need for pastel though, unless those are the shades you usually wear. What colours do you like?

I like most colours. I would only really avoid any yellow tones, lime - Autumn colours. They dont suit me. Thanks for that. I was a bit worried black might be a bit funerial for a wedding!!! Its a small affair. Marriage is a second one and I don't think there is a huge amount of people going but the bride has a wedding dress so a bit traditional in that sense.

You can't go wrong with a Coast dress at a wedding, though black is definitely out (I don't suit black anyhow, look like a corpse, a boy at school went "you look poorly today" last time I tried it).

The thing about coast though is I would probably spend all that money and never wear it again. Probably better buying something that I would wear at another time.
