How do I dress for Uni?

Background: I am 37 years old. I have done uni a long, long time ago. Now going back for a masters, and doing it in a different country (Australia).

Aside from wondering what to use in school (is pen and paper still acceptable for note taking? do they even use paper planners still? etc), I am wondering what to wear for uni. I am normally in shirts (plain tshirts, band shirts, etc) and either jeans or shorts, trainers and I have quite a collection of DMs.

Will that be ok, or will I look like I am trying hard, eventhough this is how I dress in real life?

Wear anything that you feel comfortable in. I started Uni at 32 and wore my normal clothes. There will be people in all sorts of clothes and of all ages.
Yes, pen and paper is still absolutely fine for note taking (I am now a University lecturer.)

Wear what you normally wear, take water/juice/takeaway hot drink (or maybe not hot as you are in Australia!) and supply of toffee/whatever for the class. Money for snack or take your own for break.

Wear whatever you're comfortable in, as long as it's practical for the course you're on.
I went back to Uni at 39 - and on my course we had people from 16 - 52, but mostly everyone wore jeans.
I used a mix of netbook and pen/paper, just whatever seemed most useful that day.

Oooh, Australia - lucky you! It's a lovely place Grin

Just dress as you normally do.

And takes notes on paper - you can type them up later if you need to!
